Hone bore or replace?

I was having a no-compression issue on my 2011 Sportsman 500 HO. I disassembled it down to the piston and the pics attached are what I found.

Just wondering everyone’s opinion on this. Can I hone this piston (doubtful) or have it bored (possible?) or do I need to replace the jug?

Thanks in advance!

Problems after belt change?–HELP

Hey all im new to the forum and decided to make an account because i can not figure out what the issue is with my quad, and sick of the dealer giving me problems.

I own a 2009 Sportsman 500 H.O….about 2 months ago while I was riding, the belt snapped on me mid trail. I have another 09 sitting in the garage waiting on a new carb. I took the belt off this one, and placed it on the one that snapped. It ran fine for about 5 miles to the gas station, turned it off, gassed up, and it started right back up.

PROBLEM: After the belt swap, the RPMs were running from 4k-5k and the quad wouldn’t want to go past 20-30 MPH, so I pulled over, listened for odd noises, etc. but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Only way I could get it to go past 20-30 was by pulling the clutch out about 1/4 of the way, then it would go up to around 40 tops, but with hesitation (RPMs still at 4k-5k and creeping to get there).

I tried searching for solutions, and all I came across that was similar was bad buttons or a bad secondary. Any info would be great? If more info is needed just let me know.

Thanks,
Deejay

’85 trailboss 250 weak spark

I am trying to help out my neighbor with his 250. It has a very weak spark that seems to get weaker the longer you crank it, then it eventually goes away all together. I replaced the coil and the cdi. Tested the various wires on the stator plug according to the polaris manual, and these are all in the suggested range. I have been over the wiring to look for bad connections.
What am i missing?

What do I need? Lube and Fluids

Hey all.. getting ready to lube and do oil change and want to verify what I need.. Going Amsoil and my local rep recommends the following.. look right?

1 qt front drive fluid (9 oz needed)
2-16oz bottles chaincase gear lube

2003 Trailblazer 250

2002 Magnum 500 RMK HELP

I bought a 02 Magnum 500 RMK and it was running a little ruff so I rebuilt the carb and put in new fuel filter with fresh gas. Before that it would bog down and I could barely get it to go over 35mph. Now it runs great wide open most of the time it will run 50mph but quick throttles from a start is still a little ruff and sometimes it wont go over 35 mph still. Im not sure whats going on. Any info. Would be great. Also it would help if I had a service manual
