My Polaris 400 Big Boss, 1995, has only done 644 kilometers as it has been situated on a small island and has only been used in transporting goods at low speed to the cottage, about 300 meters. There are some smaller faults like a broken choke handle and lights not working. My question is if this machine is a collector item? It is situated in southern Norway. Could someone indicate a price? I would like to change it into a newer Big Boss 800 and will consider a deal if you have one. My problem is that spare parts are getting harder to get hold of due to the age. But for a collector this shouldn’t be a problem? Just started it on first try after 4 weeks since last time. Very good and nice machine for the right collector! Put some love and work into it and you’ll have the nicest 1995 BB400 in world? It needs an enthousiast!!! I need a newer BB800 for another 20 years of slow work:)
Hey all.
I’m looking to buy my first quad this weekend. I’ve been riding for a long time but, never owned a quad. My CR500 is being sold tonight and I will be using that cash as a down payment for my first new vehicle ever!
I’ve called around to my local dealers and found some decent prices. I’m stuck between a 570 and a 850. I have pricing on base models with a 2500 LB winch and plow. There is a $2,120 difference between the two.
Comparing the two quads, I see that the 850 has 33HP more, better front suspension, 50lbs more weight, and approx. the same overall dimensions.
Anything else I should be taking into consideration??

Hello. I am trying to decide between a 2015 Honda Rubicon IRS with foot shift or a 2015 sportsman 570. I live on a farm and have driven ATVs my whole life. Here in Ontario the Rubicon is 1500 more. Just wondering which one you would buy and why? Also I have heard about the heat issue with the 570. Has that problem been solved and do you think it would affect me very much. Thanks
Hello. I am looking to buy my first Polaris. I have been driving bikes my whole life. I currently a 1985 honda 250sx and a 1998 honda 450 foreman. I live in Ontario Canada. I am trying to decide between a new 570 or a used scrambler at my local dealer. The scrambler has 1200 miles on. They are both the exact same price. So that is not an issue. I am also considering a 2015 Honda Rubicon Base model. The honda is 1500 more. I will mainly be using it for driving around our farm and fields. Also for trail riding. Just wondering what you would buy and why? Also any big issues that either might have. I know that the 570 did have some heat issues. Is that still an issue? Asked my dealer about he said they have not had any complaints about it. Thanks.
3 days ago I went to buy myself a 04 sportsman 500 but came across a 2013 Honda rancher ES 420 on Craig’s list. I seen it was listed for 39 days and it only had 49 miles on it. After looking at it, I made a firm $4,000 offer and seller accepted. So.. No sportsman for me this time. I drive a Honda Ridgeline, wife has a mint 300 ex…so I guess it fits in the family. I feel I got a deal, but what is it worth? Did I get a good? Fair? Or average. Only extras is Honda camo cover . Just wondering if I paid in the ball park.
Hey everyone. I’m Cody from PA. I’m not new to riding but haven’t been able to in a few years. Finally, the stars aligned and I was approved for a loan. I’m waiting on a 2014 Honda 400x to arrive in 1-2 days and I can’t wait! Old rides inc. 98 yz80. 04 klx125. 01 jr80. 01 banshee. 84 rm80 and last 1983 KTM 420mxc. The Honda 400x is my first Honda and after riding different bikes and quads, I’m thrilled to have a Honda. Awesome forum and can’t wait to ride!
Hello all. Obviously I’m new to the forum here, but also new to the atv world. I have a deal struck to pick up a 2013 Rincon with 250 miles on it in excellent condition. Price is $6500. I have yet to see it other than pictures and speaking to the owner. It turns out to be a friend of a friend though. It’s a single owner, older gentleman’s machine. Anything I should be looking out for when I go to inspect it? Problem areas etc.? Do these come with any accessories (toolkit, manual and the like) that I need to make sure I get? Any advice is welcome and much appreciated. Thanks, Jason
