I was reading in my owners manual and come to find out it says you can put ATF in it also. I run 5W20 oil in mine since motor oil was the fluid of choice for many years in them. Has anybody used ATF in them and if you have or haven’t what are your thought.
I have a question i am about to change the break-in oil.I know a couple other people with aces that changed all fluids at 25 hours.
But per the owners manual it says change oil and filter at 25 hours and check demand drive and trans fluid level at 25 hours. But it shows you don’t change them until 100 hours am i missing something or does that sound right?
Also what would the filter part number be from say napa or walmart.
Also what oil would u say to use and such?
Thanks for the help.
It’s time to do the first oil change on my 570. I was hoping to use a WIX oil filter instead of the OEM but after calling the local NAPA for info on costs I’m not sure if I should go that route. I can buy the OEM oil filter from Polaris for $12 or the WIX filter from NAPA for $16 and change. Does WIX have any real benefits over the Polaris filter?
Also I’m going to be putting rotella T6 in the 570. Since winter is around the corner and machine will likely be sitting in my garage without any heat for the entire season. Should I put 0w40 or 5w40 in it?
Just changed the oil on my 2013 500HO. Followed the steps in the owners manual to the letter. Came to the oil pump priming and after 4 tries i could not get the ‘woosh’ of air described in the owners manual. Would it prime with out a loud enough woosh to hear?
I have about 1000kms on my 2014 570, I was shocked that the stock air filter wasn’t plugged solid with dust as I do a lot of gravel road riding. I am thinking about the UNI 2 stage filter. Any suggestions? Any decent Canadian retailers for them besides 34$ on Amazon? This is what I’m looking at.
I cannot remember if this question has been ask but I thought it might be interesting. Who uses ATF and who uses Demand Drive and why. One of Bobs old friends from Quadsquad named Cob turned me to ATF years ago at Taylor Park Co. We were riding and he told me that he has been using ATF for years and it worked great. I started using it after that and I have not looked back since. I have used it in numerous ATV’s over the years and my current rides have 11400, 10800 and 2400 miles on them with ATF and not one single problem out of the Hilliard. I use it because real world testing has proved it works just fine in the hilliard even if it is not the recommended fluid.
