Hi guys, I’ve read a ton of threads here but can’t decipher what the final outcome or solution was?
Some threads talk about scoring of cylinders
Some threads talk about 2012 having a completely new engine design (beyond the 7 hp upgrade)
Some talk about re seating the pvc using lube
Some talk about a list of parts from the 2012 that can be retrofitted on the 2011
I just bought a 2011 and have a bit of oil in the air box (nothing like some of those scary photos) and I want to cure it.
Please let me know if you solved the issue and if so how?
If its parts can you send the list or direct me to the resource?

Just attended the 5 hour safety class that was offered for free with the purchase of a new ATV this past Saturday. This course was given by the ATV Safety Institute. As someone brand new to ATVs, I found this course extremely useful. There were 6 of us in the course with variable riding experience and it seemed that everyone there found the course to be worthwhile.
The course consisted of all hands on riding through various scenarios. The instruction progressed through challenges, each building upon the previous exercise. We covered safety gear, check, starting, acceleration, turns, trail riding, traffic (figure 8s), hill climbing and descending. All within the 5 hour course.
Overall, I took away quite a bit of information and respect for these machines. This was time well spent.
I recently just purchased a 2015 sportsman 570 efi eps. Although some new tech on it the chassis has been around for a little while. I also have a couple of snowmobiles, oldest is a 98 and newest is a 2013. Before 2003 snowmobile tech was similar to the atv industry, not much new. Since 03 it seems like snowmobiles have major advancements every year or two. New chassis, tech, and options. Higher prices seem to have come with it. One area that seems to be forgotten in both industries is the between adult and kids markets. Am I missing something here or is their only so much you can do for a atv?
Have a 2015 sportsman, my first ATV. How do I learn basic stuff such as changing out the belt and some basic troubleshootng. Is there a repair manual available? The owners manual is sorely lacking in any detail. Thanks
I’m new to this forum and to ATV’s at age 59, so please bear with me. I got this new ATV Friday, have had a ball of my life riding it around my 6 acres and into the woods. But today we had a bad storm in which some tree limbs came down (large). So needed the ATV to pull some tree limbs about 1/4 mile to dump them into a large wooded area. with the winch. Did I hurt the ATV?
Second question, do know if I have a slow leaker (stock tires from store) or what, but been looking at tires for my ATV. Question: Where is the best place to get good tires and I don’t do any mudding (no mud here in SC).
