Tuner question

I’m running a stock Outlander XT 1000 and wondering if a tuner would help with gas milage and heat issues? I would need something that I could reset to stock once a year so the ATV will pass emissions for its street legal registration. I took the ATV for a rip to Lowes today in 70 degree temps and the fan ran most of the 3 miles there and back.

large pics?

Why when I click on a small pic link to open it it opens to a huge pic that I have to use the scroll bar to see it all? Anymore I just don’t click on them because they are too big, grainy and just generally not worth it. Am I doing something wrong or is it the way the pics are linked?

Rotopax fit question.

I’m trying to figure out if I can mount 2 3 gallon Rotopax gas cans on the front rack of my 2015 Outlander Max XT with the 4" rack extension installed? A 4 gallon pack will not fit but from the measurements it looks like 2 3 gallon packs would be close as there shorter but taller. Anyone have any packs mounted up with the rack extension?

Skids installed on Outty today.

Got the Ricochet skids installed on the Outlander Max 1000 XT today. Easy smooth job until I decided I wanted to replace the winch cable with a winch rope I took off my old ATV. Ended up having to pull the bash plate and loosen the front skid so I could get the front plastic kind of off and access the winch mounting bolts. Slide the winch somewhat out the right side of the ATV where I was able to access the drum and change the line over.

Outty strung up to the Maple tree, she wouldn’t stay set back on the rear grab handle so I tied her off to the tree on the other side of the yard. Take note of them fine new bark chips on the ground, spent yesterday hauling and spreading 12 cu yards of the stuff.

Some shots of the factory skids or lack there of.

Ricochets almost on.

I set her on the ground and removed the rear tires to get the factory plastic off the A Arm and install the new A Arm skids.

Tire pressure ?

I purchased a set of Maxxis Ceros tires and I was trying to figure out what tire pressure I should be running especially running around on pavement. Below is a cut and paste from the Maxxis web site which lists pressure and load of 18/960. I’m not sure what the numbers mean exactly. My Outlander 1000 weights 816 pounds dry.

The guy I purchased the tires from put 6 pounds in them which I didn’t think was enough so I pumped them up to 10 pounds.

What do you guy recommend?

pressure/Load (psi/lbs)
Rear 26X11.00R12 6 26.6 10.7 18/960 12X8.0 23/32
Front 26X9.00R12 6 26.6 8.6 18/825 12X7.0 23/32
