unsafe, under engineered, over priced
My new $12,000 UTV has been recalled. It is unsafe. The heat shield was improperly engineered and caused fires.
Out of the goodness of their hearts Polaris will repair the UTV (I wonder if they volunteered or were afraid of lawsuits???). Unfortunately I had to pay to have the UTV delivered when I bought it 2 months ago and Polaris rudely refused to pay to pick up the unit and have it returned to be serviced.
When I contacted "customer service" Chris stated there was nothing Polaris wanted to do about it and surprisingly he claimed he had no supervisor I could talk to.
I had a Artic Cat for 13 years and never had a problem or recall. I’ve had this Polaris 2 months and now I can’t use it.
They stated they wanted to return it to a safe condition. It’s brand new….its never been safe.
BEWARE…Over-priced and under engineered….rude, crude, and unsafe!!!
I may have to pay for Polaris’ junk, but not without letting everyone I know how bad a company they are….Customers make a company, without them you have no business. Polaris doesn’t get that message.
Good luck to other owners….stay safe and trade your Polaris in!

Suggestions please very confused
I have a 2008 Polaris 800 EFI HO. I just changed the voltage regulator but I am having some other issue now. Here’s the issue. I had some issues before which lead me to changing the regulator. The 4×4 stopped working when that was bad. I flipped it and I put it up on blocks and tested it. The 4×4 works yaaaaa, and tested everything up on blocks. The 4×4 worked…..on the blocks. Tested it on the trail today and low and behold the 4×4 didn’t work. Put it back up on blocks and the 4×4 is working again. Under power the wheels don’t work. Please don’t tell me it’s a transfer case issue????????
2015 sportsman 570 axles?
when will you have some? tried calling today and the ones listed are for a touring model or at least i was told.
Aftermarket Sportsman 570 axles? (rear)
I have been calling and looking everywhere for a rear axle for a 2015 sportsman 570. I have called a few different polaris dealers and theyve all told me the rear axles have changed since the 2014s (the fronts remain the same). I thought i had found one today on the superatv website, called them to confirm and they said the one listed under sportsman 570 on the site is for a touring model. does anyone know where to get one??? ive been quoted over $500 for a "polaris" brand rear axle. thanks for your help and for reading!

Help! No oil in Counterbalance – 1995 Xplorer
Hi All,
I just purchased a 1995 Xplorer 400 4×4 which is my first liquid cooled Polaris ATV. After bringing it home discovered that there was no oil in the counter balance. In fact there was no CB drain plug. Unfortunately, this is the first time I had even heard about counter balance oil because my Trail Boss 250 and 300 do not have it.

I don’t know how long it was driven without a CB plug or CB oil. This ATV only has 755 original miles. But I don’t know how quickly the CB is ruined without oil. Probably in minutes I am guessing.
So I added oil (10w30) ran it a bit in neutral and drained the oil. Did this two more times until the oil came out clear. Then added 4.5 ounces of synthetic 10w30 oil.
But the engine seems to shake a lot at idle even with the counter balance oil when compared to my 300 which feels much smoother at idle.
I have a feeling that the Counter Balance is toast and am looking for suggestions and ideas on what to look for. Your input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks all!
