2011 Polaris 850 questions.

Hi all, I have a customer’s 2011 850 twin efi that was brought in for a service and complete check over. I have changed the oil and filter, cleaned the air filter, and replaced the spark plugs. SO, onto my questions,

The transmission oil is full. But I am sure it has not been changed since the unit was new….do I need to completely tear down the trans and clean it or can I do a fluid change? And what fluid does it use? We are not a Polaris dealer so taking the trans apart for a service probably is not an option. Have to ask the boss…..

My next question…I can switch it into 4×4 and I hear nothing, nor does anything pop up on the screen that is it in 4×4. Any good tips or common problems with that?

Customer needs her quad back so any tips and tricks on this would be awesome! Thanks guys!

Can Am Modular Bag

Hey Guys! Does anyone have any pictures of the 73L Modular bag installed on the rear rack? I don’t know If I need one that large, but I would love to see it before ordering. Also if you have the 44L smaller out mounted on the rear, That would be helpful! any suggestions on these bags would also be greatly appreciated.

91 350l 4×4 Liquids

I have recently acquired a 1991 Trail Boss 350l 4×4 (w918139). I have had to break the piston free and clean the carb. I was wondering what are all the liquids that i should check before running the engine. Mainly, do i need to lubricate the gear case or no?

Thanks,
Kevin

help! front right cv shaft wont free spin

hello everyone im new to this group! i have a problem with my 05 grizzly 660. The right front wheel is very hard to turn when lifted off the ground. i removed the wheel, brakes, hub etc. and with just the one end of the cv shaft in the differential, the shaft spins hard and almost feels like its skipping. the splines on the shaft and inside the diff look perfect. when i put it in 4×4 i cant spin the shaft by hand, only in 2wd. the left side tire spins fine. any ideas on what it could be? and is there a simple fix or just replace the front diff. any help would be greaty appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Riding in Williams AZ.

Last weekend I took my wife & boys for a little rest and relaxation weekend trip to Williams AZ. We arrived on Thursday and left Sunday. What a awesome place to teach the little one to ride. The views & weather was amazing. Here are some pictures of our little adventure.

Base camp.

Nicole & the boys checking out the area while I set up.

Look what we built!

Time to ride!

Sloan on his Polaris 50cc with the San Francisco Peaks in the background. What a amazing view!

New trail!

Posing for a picture back at camp.

Espen taking a break on the trail on his TRX250EX.

My new Sportsman that I am building with the San Francisco Peaks in the background.

Sitting around the fire after a day of fun!

Time to say goodbye to Williams AZ.
