Hi all. Need to know if the cylinder is iron bore or nikacel I have one that’s needs to be bored as honing wont get the grove’s out of it. Also are there any free downloadable repair manual’s out there thank you very much in advance

Hi Folks, just saying hi and reading a lot of your informative posts. Bought somewhat of a project 04 Sportsman 700. Needs new front suspension so got my fingers dirty even before a first ride. Waiting for parts to show up

2006 Sportsman 500 X2 EFI

new battery, battery will not charge. I can start the machine and ride for about 6 hours before it will need to be put on the charger again.

any ideas?

I’m not a total newbie, but this is an interesting situation.
Bought a 2008 rancher 420 4×4 last year. It had a fresh oil change when I got it. Checked the oil before I rode it, looked clean. Hardly rode it after I got it. Probably put 100 miles on it last summer. Today Decided to go ahead with an oil change, and when I went to drain it, the drain plug is not where it is supposed to be. I’m not sure what this is, but it is where the drain plug is supposed to be. What’s up with this? When I twist it, it moves freely and it’s flexible, like it’s connected to a rubber hose.

I know it varies from state to state but is it safe to say that an Outlander can be made street legal in a good chunk of the states?
My main concerns would be Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and maybe Idaho & Washington.

I am rebuilding my 650 with an MRRPM 860 BBK with maverick heads and MRRPM performance cams. I will soon be starting the rebuild and am studying my service manual and in the section for heads it says the cams are different and not to interchange them between #1 & #2 cylinder heads? Maybe this is just for OEM cams? Any truth to this? If so how will I know which cam is for which head since the new cams were just shipped in packing along with the BBK?

Hi guys I’m having a hell of a time figuring out this dam carb! I bought a rebuild kit and changed all the jets and the rev screw and the air mix screw and and I had taken it all off and the 3 hoses as well to let it set in carb cleaner over night to unclog the fuel inlet which I got unclogged so I put it all back togather and now its leaking gas out the bowl from the drain value even with the drain screw all way closed and I cant figure out why any ideas? also I misplace the little screen filter that gose in the top of the gas line would that cause this problem?

its like the float isn’t closing up when it gets full but I submerged in in water just to sell if it would close and try blowing air through it when close and it closed just fine in water so I would think the gas would make it float and close

Recently installed a Superwinch steel cable winch on my 570. Was walking through Harbor Freight yesterday and noticed they had synthetic rope in stock. Has anyone used badlands synthetic before? How is it? Worth changing out the steel cable for?
