hydraulic lift/jack too small for an 850 Touring?

A month ago I bought a used 2012 Polaris 850 Sportsman Touring……..800 lbs (dry. and weighs more due to BigHorns, etc.). Last week I bought a cycle/atv hydraulic jack off of CL. The jack is the one a person can often see on sale…the red/black Sears Craftsman that has sold forever for $100.

Not sure "where" and "if to put the jack to lift this heavy bomber of a machine. And it looks like I probably have to take off the whole footrest area to be able to get the jack centered somewhere. And I’m figuring to take off the skid plates so I can find some frame to lift on.

Anyone deal with anything like this….or have any thoughts?

Where do I lift at (set the lift)?

Footrests off?

TRX300FW steering problem

this weekend I broke a tie rod end , the ball came out the socket on the trails , 1/2 mile from the house , let then pull me back —-this evening I took the 4 tie rod and pitman arm ( steering arm) off the bottom of the steering shaft then replaced the two inner tie rod ends and replaced the pitman arm as it had some play in it , the splines were worn thin , when I tightened the steering arm back up the steering was in a bind , I found that the plate which the lower steering bearing is mounted in is bent , here is a pic of the wife’s 300 and mine , so now the tie rod end studs hit the bottom of that bent plate and jam up , tried to bent it back with a 6 ft bar , had a good bite on it but no luck ———-anyone seen this one before and have any ideas on how to get it back straight with out stripping it down to the frame

54mm 1000r throttle body questions

Hey guys, I looked all over but can’t find any info on this but I just purchased a 1000r 54mm throttle body and was wondering who else is running it? I currently have a muzzy digituner as a fuel controller right now but was wondering if I should go with the PC5 with autotune or a reflash or just stick with my digituner? What’s everyones setup running a bored or 1000r throttle body? Thanks!

ATV jacks

I have a floor jack, a bike jack, 2 ramps, and 2 stands. This seems to work very well for me in the garage, but… I’m thinking of getting a small jack to take with me (in the car) when I venture out. I am thinking of something I can quickly jack up, probably with a battery powered impact wrench. Anybody have anything like this set up? Or anything else interesting? Thanks in advance, m.breen.

Figure I shredded a belt today?

Was hauling my first picking of corn up the hill to blanch and freeze. Suddenly lost power and smelled something funny and came to a stop. Rolls but won’t Rev up and does nothing in gear. Noticed a bunch of shredded looking fibers like carpet fibers all around the clutch housing. Haven’t pulled it apart, but pretty sure it’s the belt and it’s got everything in there all wrapped up. Gonna pull it apart in the next few days. Hopefully no other damage cause I have a lot of money in the clutch setup.

2015 Polaris Rzr Trail 900 wont start

Was riding down the trail and with no warning or or lights on dash yge bije shut off. Was very reluctant to restart. After restarting only went a few feet and loss power and shut off again. It did this a few different times, and now will not start at all. Checked the spark plugs, they did not appear to be fouled. Any suggestions? Fuel filter, fuel vent line, clogged injectors, fuel pump. Has anyone had this problem before. When it wouldn’t start up anymore it was sitting on 3 bars of fuel left, now the fuel bar blinks saying it is out of gas, not sure if tgat is an indication of what might be the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
