Stock Wheels – 2015 Sportsman 850

Does anyone know where I can find replacement stock wheels for my 2015 Sportsman 850? I realize that the dealer can probably order these for me but I’ve read that these can be expensive.

I’m mainly looking for a replacement front and rear wheel (rim and tire) to take with me on long trips where I am riding alone. I carry a plug kit and slime kit with min-compressor but I’ve been out on rides where people have blown out the sidewall on a rock and the tire cannot be repaired.

I mostly ride alone and at time I can be 50 -100 miles to the nearest road, town, etc so a cheap spare would be nice. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Comfortable Heated Grips?

Okay I know there are a LOT of heated grip threads. However they all mention heat function and not comfort of the grips themselves.

– I have had the wire stick grips, that let you put on your favorite grips over top. I didn’t think they heated well and they can break easily.

– I have had the cheap ones for $30 and they just suck.

– I have spent the $100 on heat demons. They heat GREAT and I love that they’re clamp on grips. However the grips themselves feel like rocks. Very uncomfortable if you aren’t wearing gloves.

Can someone recommend COMFORTABLE AND FUNCTIONAL heated grips? With Fall right around the corner I need to pick some up!

Question about 2016 honda rubicon deluxe suspension

I recently bought a 2016 Honda deluxe rubicon with the IRS, it’s getting close to hunting season so I’ll need to stiffen up the suspension since I’ll be carrying heavy loads at times…. My question is, if I adjust the rear, will I need to adjust the front also ??? And if leave them stiff, will it cause it to wear out quicker ?? Thank you for your help.

2010 850 touring whining noise

ive got a 2010 850 xp touring, the last two times Ive rode it it’s started to make a loud whining noise that seems to be coming from somewhere under the handlebars or front of engine, it does it after I ride it for about 10-15 minutes when it gets good and warmed up, rode up a couple small hills and that’s when I noticed it, it whines with the engine rpms, when you rev it up the noise gets louder, rpms go down and the noise gets quieter, it doesn’t matter if you’re in park, neutral, low or high, 4wd or 2wd ( I was in 2wd when it done it on me, I took it in and out of 4wd but made no difference) I parked it in the driveway and tried to see where the noise was coming from for about 10-15 minutes, turned it of and on a couple times looking around For the noise and then it quit, all of the fluids are where they should be and air filter is ok, I could hear the noise pretty good when I put my ear where the air filter is, that’s when I kinda ruled out the clutch cause that was my first thought. It was bought new by my uncle who never abused it, he maintained it and changed fluids religiously, I bought it a couple years ago from him and have only taken it on 4-5 good day rides, thought it could be water pump but by the time I went to check it the noise had faded off and quit, the coolant fan seems to come on and off like it should. When it makes this whining noise It doesn’t seem to affect the running of it but you can tell the noise shouldn’t be there and gets pretty loud the faster you go, my uncle was riding it towards me a couple hundred feet away and you could hear the noise coming from the front and was almost all you could hear. I could really use some input if anyone has had issues like this or may know what to check. I apologize if I posted this twice, had a computer crash the first time I was tryin to post this a couple days ago.

Nobody got hurt

Well, I had an interesting weekend. My nephew rode one of my quads off a cliff!! Thank god he is ok. My son is a PA, and he was with us so he checked him out and he just had some scratches and bruises. The quad got wedged between a rock and a tree and that was a good thing because otherwise it would have ended up in the Delaware River. We recovered it and got it running again but it is pretty banged up.
