GrampaGrizz

Hello all
I am new to this site but I have owned 2 Grizzly 450"s since 2007
I live in Utah and have two children, 5 grandkids and one great grandson.
I use one of the grizzly machines to plow my landing strip of a driveway in the winter but like to ride either in the summer.
Glad to join a community of like minded people

400 Kodiak Overheating

Now that my 2000 Kodiak is running well after the carb rebuild, I’ve turned my attention to my 2001 400. I bought it used – generally it runs great but it overheats on really hot days.

I pulled out the fan and found it was no good so I put a new high flow fan in. Could now hear the fan run, but it would kick off after about 20 seconds and then only come on for an instant about every 5-10 seconds – not enough air to cool the engine and radiator fluid. I then replaced the circuit breaker and the thermo switch in the radiator. Still only comes on for 20 seconds initially and then cycles on and off every 5-10 seconds. I am guessing it will still overheat if run hard enough on a hot day.

My 550 and other 400 both run the fan full speed when the engine calls for it until the engine and radiator fluid are cooled.

What am I missing?

Adventure Motorcycle Magazine Article on RMSTATORS MOSFET Regulator Kit

This info might be useful to some of you guys who have heard about, or are interested in a MOSFET regulator upgrade. It’s not specific to any make/model, really applies to our universal upgrade kit. Worth a read and checking out for a solid upgrade.

RM Stator’s MOSFET Voltage Regulator Rectifier Kit | News

I’ve also got a more detailed article I wrote on MOSFET regulators that will be in the next print issue of Adventure Motorcycle magazine, so check that out if you’re looking for more info! If there’s alot of interest, I can ask about posting the article text here too for easier access before the print version is out.

new and driven to be the best, with your help

Good afternoon everyone!
I’m the service and parts manager of a soon to be Polaris dealer. our company owns a few very successful car dealerships with a huge focus on customer satisfaction. I am being brought onboard this new endeavor to bring that same quality to our power sports division. that being said I’m looking to reach out to you, our potential customers and get some feed back. what parts do you mostly find you need? What frustrates you about your dealer? We want to make sure we are stocked up, ready to roll and keep you enjoying your equipment when the doors open. With your input and an open line of communication with the public I think we could make this thing great. so please let me hear your stories and ideas.
thanks! 🙂

Traded!

So my 87 TRX350 was acting up again and i got tired of it and im about to hit the magical age of 16, so i am in need off a truck. i got a truck. 1969 chevy K10! needs a lil work but it is worth it, its got a built 350, and a 400 turbo trans. its a cst edition truck. needs a grill, starter, altenator, and a fan belt, and a passenger side door (my fault) and a tire on that side. but it ran until the starter took a dump on me, also needs a set of plates to get her legal.

650 xt comparison to the max

Thinking of buying a 2012 can am 650 I am looking AT A xt or a max xt
So the question is, is the longer wheel base a better chose even though you would not use the two up seat for a second rider. Mostly going to be used for towing a bush wagon to collet fire wood and general work around property
thanks any thoughts would be welcome
