So back years ago I did the research/comparisons and have dreamed of owning a can am forever…well, my wife and I made that dream a reality yesterday and picked up a "new to us[read new to wife] :)" outlander max 800r w/50 hours on it. I am super stoked…..for her…cough cough.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi to the group and let the reading begin :). We are from northern Kommifornia btw.
I’ve been busting my ass to replace rusted ass frame on my 660 for this weekend. I got about all of it back together and I was hoping to get running, when I turn on key I get nothing on the display. My first thought I didn’t plug something in, everything was plugged in, battery has close to 13v. I thought maybe I didn’t have battery connected right, I have the positive going to relay and ground to the chassis ground. The only two connectors that the colors really don’t match up were by the engine and in the pictures. There is a thicker red wire coming out of the relay and it has 12v on it. I’m not sure where else to check. Any help would be appreciated. I’d love to go riding this weekend especially after busting my ass for a week swapping a frame. Thanks
side note, where does the ecu bolt on? I did have a ground plug that’s coming of the frame that I don’t know if it was used before or not.

I recently put a snorkel kit on my atc and it now idles perfect but when I Gun the throttle all the way open it dies! It is running lean so I need to switch my main jet out so that I can give it more gas to equal out the mixture, I’ve already dropped my needle down to the last notch and that was making a difference but I ran out of notches?, I now need to know the oem main jet size so I know what size up I have to go, any help is appreciated thanks!!!
For those of you with snowplows. What size blades are you using? I am tryin to decide which to go with. 54” or 60” A lil concerned about front end squat. Was planning on a 60” at first. But not sure how well the stock front shocks will handle the heavier 60” versus the 54”. This is on the 570 Renegade. Any input would be great. Thanks
I neeed to get to get a receiver hitch and see alot of different brands out there . Question is would the factory have any benefits over after market or vice versa ? On the 2016 does the yamaha receiver allow a clear path to the filler plug ? Thanks Don
So I have a 2009 850xp w/EPS that I bought about 2 months ago. It has less than 300 miles on it and is in excellent condition but I have had a problem with the battery losing charge. I should mention that the battery was replaced at a polaris dealership right before I bought the machine.
So far from what I can tell the charging system is working, I have 14.4 volts across the batter when the machine is running. I also let the machine sit for 7 days and checked the voltage daily and the lowest the battery got was 12.65.
The issue seems to occur when using the lights or other accessories like a sprayer that connect to the battery with alligator clips. After night riding or using something like the sprayer when I go to start it the next day it doesn’t have enough juice. Unfortunately I have not put a meter on the battery at these times to see how low it actually is, I just throw my trickle charger on it and 10 minutes later it fires right up.
I should probably also mention that shortly after buying this bike I installed an LED light bar on it but I really don’t think that could be the issue since I used one of the existing accessory wires that only have power when the key is on.
Hello all,
I am looking for a front swingarm boot for a 1986 honda fourtrax 350. I have contacted honda and they no longer make them. And the only used one I can find isn’t much better than mine was.
Does anyone know where I can possibly find one. Thanks in advance.
