Hello! Do you guys know if theres a way to limit the speed on a polaris sportsman 570 2014. In Finland the atv goes to fast to be legal without any limiter on the road (it’s tractor registered). I’m wondering if there is something like a speedohealer (speedohealer doesn’t fit on the 2014) that would limit the speed or the rpm and would be easy to switch on and off. Sorry for bad english!

2007 Honda TRX250EX —–runs great , no smoke , very low hours , those are original tires in good condition and it has been garage kept , new battery , new carb , new petcock and tank screen , brakes work , everything works , this is a final driven gear rear end and not chain drive , New Orleans , La area , pick up only ——— $1,700 or might consider trade for 95-2000 TRX300 4×4
Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum. After I ride my Honda for about 20-25 minutes it will not shift for me up or down no matter what gear I am in. After I shut it off and turn the ignition switch back on It won’t start, but what ever gear I am in it blinks 2 longs and 4 shorts. Someone told me that that means a 24 code. I don’t know what a 24 code means or what problem I having. I would be grateful for any help in trying to fix this problem. Thank you
Ok, I haven’t had a flat yet but it is inevitable. I bought a patch kit, the string-type, and an air pump. I just have little faith in this system and would like to hear from others what actually works. Particularly about the pumps. I have the yellow HFreight thing ($9.95) and recently filled an inner tube for the kids rafting. It took an hour! 60 minutes! Not counting the cool-down time every 15 minutes! The 200 decibel racket and 19,000 rpms make me suspicious too.
So I get a flat. I poke the string in the rubber cement, jam it in the hole. Fill the tire with air. If flats on my car are any indication of our rocky terrain, "gash" or "big gash" would probably be the problem. I imagine a tube back-up wouldn’t hurt. Does anyone actually do this? Anyone ever have to walk out 40 miles because of this? So now I need some tire irons?
I recently got a new 2016 Sportsman 850 SP, and perusing the manual testing this and that on the 850, I was puzzled by my understanding or lack thereof in regards to the EPS indicator light on the speedo.
I see this in the manual about the EPS light: "This indicator illuminates when the key is turned to the ON position and goes off when the engine is started."
So I take this mean just leaving the key on w/o starting the engine that the light s/b on?? and then go off when I start it? Correct?
What I’m finding happens is when I just insert the key and turn on, everything goes on momentarily including the EPS light, and then goes off. While in the on position (not started) only the speedo back light, digital display, gas, clock. etc, is on but no EPS light.
So, as long as it’s not on, seems good news no issue, but shouldn’t the EPS light be on with the key just in the "ON" position? It’s late and I’m rambling.. sorry for the long winded question..lol
I’m brand spankin’ new to the ATV world, been a 4 wheeler for a while, but I went on my first trail ride a week ago and was immediately hooked on it. What a blast, totally different than being in the cab of a truck.
Anyhow, I am now looking at ATV’s and have settled on a Grizzly of some variety I think, I do need to find a place to "try one on" being 6’6" I don’t fit in or on a lot of vehicles…any advice in this department would be appreciated btw.
I want to thank you all in advance for sharing an enormous amount of information on this site…it is just unreal how much stuff is out here.
I can’t contribute a lot of info on ATV’s yet, but I am a professional freelance photographer and pretty knowledgeable about Canon photo gear…if you have questions about that stuff PM me, I’ll help out wherever I can.
Well just so some of you know ( Hammer , Trev , Ridge) I am giving my Grizzly some loving in the way of a few new parts… I am giving her some new wet clutch shoes and drum along with some new bearings and new belt.. A couple weeks back i rebuilt the primary and added grease less weights and new collar(old one had grooves from belt). She was a little weak pulling out my elk this year so i knew she deserved a little loving….
I have a shot to get some tires and rims pretty cheap but I don’t want to waste money if there could be some backspacing issues. They appear to stock tires on stock Honda Rancher rims for around $60. They are 25x10x11 and 25x8x11. I know the OE 1988 setup was not different sizes so that has caused me some concern.
I am going to continue to investigate back spacing here in the forums.
Portal gear lifts, is anyone running them on a 570, I see where Superatv sells them. Does the gear reduction enable you to turn 30" tires a lot easier?
