Anybody know whether a same slipon exhaust fits multiple G2 machines? I guess max models have longer exhausts but does the same go for say shorty 570/650/1000 Outlander?
Found one Swedish company and according to their site they should fit. Having some problem finding slipon for -16 570 Outlander on eBay. Most of the one’s on sale are for L-models with crosswise slipon.

Anyone have suggestions on a good replacement bearing source for the front spindle bearings on the 03 kodiak 400 4×4. Just bought a machine and both bearings have enough play that even with the quad sitting on ground I can rock the top of the wheels side to side and see the axle "tipping" through the spindle, so I’m assuming those bearings are toasted.
Looking for a good quality sealed replacement bearing if possible.
Also how difficult are these to swap out? I assume they are pressed into the spindle, but how much work is it to get these apart and do they often get stuck to the axles or anything like that? Im probably replacing the lower A-arms at the same time since both have minor bends in them anyway. So part source on that would be great. Thanks!

After a long pause on doing my valve adjustment on my TRX250X, I decided to do it today. After touching the valves, I realized I have a stuck valve . I’ve read that I might have a bent valve (I waited quite a bit to do this so I wouldn’t be surprised), but what do you guys think? I also seem to have quite a few cracks in the valve cover.
BTW the stuck valve is the one on the left in the first attached image

Hey guys, just got my first quad, scored a super deal on facebook for a disaster looking but surprisingly mechanically sound 03 Kodiak 400. Despite being a total mess appearance wise, less than 2 hours of tinkering mostly on the variable clutch with zero extra pennies spent so far and it runs good in forward reverse, 2wd, 4wd, has some good pep and starts with a blip of the magic button, so I think I did well at $400!
One of the things wrong when I got it was the clutch cover was off (missing 1/2 the bolts too) and was disassembled. It appears they ran it dry and as a result the weights in the primary wore some rough channels on the internals. I regreased it just to test other components but I’ll replace it now that I know the rest of the machine has enough integrity to invest. My question is, what the heck is the tube going from the clutch to the hood just behind the radiator for? I know I’ve seen you tube videos of guys with "snorkels" on their quads in that area going through deep water and crap (not my plan btw) and I always assumed this was for the air intake on the engine, but now I’m wondering if it was for this? But why does the clutch have an apparent air intake, and why is the intake so high when the clutch has a wide open hole on the back anyway? Am I missing an up-tube off the back of the clutch housing and what’s the significance/purpose of this tubing in the first place?
Sorry for my quad inexperience but growing up in Wyoming we had clutches just like this on snowmobiles and they were always basically wide open to the air. I could see where you’d want to avoid water on the belt but the sealed cover should provide that, so does it need cooling and that’s what the ventilation is for? just trying to figure out if I’m missing pieces or something and get the whole point of the big ports. Missing parts wouldn’t surprise me since the quad came with literally ZERO bolts holding any plastic of any kind in place and missing one foot-tub. But at $400 I’ve already had fun scooting around on it and am excited to have so much room to make it right and still do well money wise. Thanks for the newbi support!

Background: I just got a steal of a deal on a running 03 Kodiak 400. (as in cheap, not stolen!) But it needs some TLC including a few electrical things. and I’m hoping for help sourcing part or parts to patch it up. Someone lost a key and hotwired the bike with a toggle switch. It also appears they cut the rear brake wires (no idea why, although the taillight is busted out), the speedo is missing, and perhaps worst or most urgent is that the temp sensor on the radiator as it appears the connector for the wires to plug into it was ripped off so there’s two nude wires (red with black stripe and blue wire) hanging in that vicinity. Not surprisingly the fan doesn’t come on at all during my test riding.
So what I’m thinking is either finding a compete wiring harness or at least trying to find the tails with the plugs attached for an OEM key and for the temp sensor so I don’t have to undo the whole hotwire thing and rebuild it for a proper key, and to get the connector for the temp sensor, and to not have to splice the tailight wires back together.
Question 1: Anyone know where to get any or all of these items (complete harness or tails) and an ignition? Seems hard to find direct sources online so far.
Question 2: Under the front of the quad there is a loose wire I can’t readily identify where it should go or why. It is a white wire with a barrel type connector. It comes off the harness going to the 4×4 engage motor on the front diff. and looks like it would naturally route back toward the engine/trans but I really can’t see anywhere it would lead to? Anyone with an 03 wiring diagram or 03 kodiak who could look at theirs and tell me where it should go?
