I’m in the market and have been trying to decide on an atv I’m leaning more towards a 2016 scrambler 1000 but also considering a sportsman 1000. I’m really looking for reliability, power, agility, and balance. I don’t do mud I’m into climbing, I’m wanting to know how they climb and how easy they turn over. Also can 2 people sit comftorable on them. Thanks

Turbo for 2014 sportsman 570
Been looking at installing a turbo on my 570. Anyone out there in forumland done it? I’m sure I’ll have to install some better components in the motor to handle the turbo. And somehow fit the the system in the inside the body panels.
Is this a good idea or a terrible one lol

97 Trail Boss hard start
Hi all, been on this forum for some time just never joined. I’ve gathered loads of useful information from here. It’s my go to source. So with that said I’ll get right into it.
I’ve got a 2 stroke 97 Trail Boss 250. I bought it last year and have been doing things to it to improve performance or repair. Now I have a starting issue. My carburetor needed to be rebuilt so I’ve rebuilt the carb. Looks almost new After reinstalling the bike was hard to start, I introduced starting fluid and she started right up. Couldn’t get it idle? I hopped on took it for a ride to get the fuel moving through and just give it a test. It ran awesome, picked up some HP. So I went back to throw my helmet on, but when I shut it off, I couldn’t get it started again. Now I can’t get it to start. What would cause this – and where would my first place to look be?
Electric start is not functional. Bendix is messed up. (That’s the next project)
I start it with pull start. Choked and not. Before carb rebuild it started on second/third pull.

Walking wheelies, HL or XP 1000
What is a sportier bike to play on, like walking wheelies and such. I realize the HL has gear reduction and only runs around 50mph. Will a XP 1000 with ol2 29.5 tires walk wheelies as good as HL. You would think from 0-50 the HL would out run the XP with the same tires.
2016 570 Charging system questions
Hello, I have a brand new 2016 570 Sportsman, with the 3 headlight mod. With the lights on high beam after about 2-3 minutes at idle I get the code Lo-10.8. Which from my research is a low voltage code. When I turn the lights off or on low the code goes away. It struck my curiosity so, I put my multimeter on it to just see what was going on at the battery terminals. I have had it on a battery tender since the day I brought it home, August 24th. So here are some pics showing what the meter read. It seems to me that the charging system is not functioning, because even if I rev it up the voltage at the battery does not increase at all. Can anyone tell me what else to check or what it could be??? This thing literally has 7 miles on it.

What does the extended warranty really cover??
I have a 2015 can am outlander xmr 1000 . The rear drive shaft and seal has came out of the rear differential and I had to get pull by a rzr home, I figured it would be covered under warranty seeing how it is part of the drive train! So I loaded it up and took it to the dealer . "Mountain Motorsports"..
I got the 3 year extended warranty and also a 3 year ssrvice package when I bought the machine April of last year!!
They tore it down and sent pics to brp and explain to them what was happening. Either the seals was bad and let water in! Or he said that it has been rode low or no diff fluid cause the differential to fail!! . BRP is now saying it was my fault and that they will not cover it.
I have had all my services done by the dealer so if it was low fluid or no fluid that would be on them not me right?

It has the factory seals in the rear differential! So if the seals is leaking then that shouldn’t me on me either right??
I just can’t see how I am at fault on this! And now I’m not sure what to do.
I can do the work myself but if I have a warranty that I PAID $3 grand for already I would like to use it on something that was not my fault in the first place.
Plus price for new diff and parts is around $1300!
I’m not sure what to do now. Should I seek a lawyer and try to atleast get my money back from the warranty! Or is there really anything else I can do??

Best weed eater
So my dad has a business where we do a lot of clean up around industrial sites. Yesterday one of the weed eaters gave it up. It was a stihl 108 and the guy we took it to said the coil was out not bad for a 20 year old tool! The salesman at the local tractor dealership suggested a myamura. Said it came with a 5 year warranty and recommend it over the husqvarna they sell. Have y’all ever heard of this brand? I haven’t and I would go with another stihl but the local dealer does not provide good service. So what would y’all recommend?
450 er not holding charge..need help
I have a 450 er that wont hold a charge, iv bought 3 batteries this summer hoping maybe they were junk. I finally decided it was probably my stator, hooked up a volt meter and it read in the 14’s while running so I figure its not the stator, and in the mid 12’s when not running, I also disconnected the ground from the battery and help my meter to my frame for maybe I had a short some where but had no luck. don’t know were to go from here and need help fast. heading to Waynoka in TWO WEEKS
Kolpin ‘Gun Boot’ …. shortened ?
A few of us hunt …
Pack our ‘long guns’ on our quads …
Kolpin Industries has made the ‘Gun Boot’ for many years.
A fairly decent product … but, it’s made far too long.
A hunting rifle/24" barrel is generally less than 45" long. The Kolpin unit will take a firearm 51" long.
I contacted Kolpin Ind. and suggested that a choice of cap/lid length could be an option.
They thanked me for my input, and said that they wouldn’t be offering a shorter cap/lid for their product.

Question:
Have any of you hunting folks shortened the cap/lid of a Kolpin ‘Gun Boot’ … ?
Pics or info appreciated ….
