Sound tube homemade build

I decided to try my hand at building a water proof (lol) sound tube , was lucky to get the pvc fittings and pipe free , 2 Pyle speakers and a Pyle 400w amp was $90 , the mounting brackets were $25 , in a perfect world I would have had schedule 80 fittings so that the thickness where the speaker screws go would be thick enough , I had schedule 40 , I had heard that with schedule 35 or 25 ??? the sleeve end of the fittings would slide over the 40 hub o.d. perfect , but I didn’t have or wanted to buy them , so I cut widths of the 6 inch pipe and put them over the sleeve ends to act as bushings for the mounting brackets and to increase the end for the speaker screws , I hooked it all up to a 12 volt supply and it sounds good , going to paint the tube black and leave the speaker covers white

CVT strange noise

Hi All, some weeks ago I fired up my 660 and was prepping for a ride warming up in neutral wen I noticed a strange noise coming from CVT area. Gone on idle, just picked up with revs, Kind of not quite a grinding or a whining, more like something, maybe the belt, rubbing harshly against something. I put the boy away planning to take a look later.

Then yesterday I got my toolkit out, fired up and… no noise! I rode about a bit and then let it stand for a few hours. Fired up again and lo, the noise is there again, ascending as you rev still in neutral.

I removed the cover, and nothing looks amiss. Belt is fine. Fired up, and the noise is there but not easy to figure if its from the driving or driven side.

Any eternal wisdom out there?

Dave

How to get to the radiator?

Hi People,

I am a compete noob to this forum. I tried to search for the question to avoid asking it twice. So here is my question.
I was hauling my nice shiny new Rancher home after a ride when it started hailing. I didn’t think of pulling over as the hail balls were small. I got home inspected the bike it all looked fine until I was washing the machine and I noticed the hail balls had gotten through my radiator grill and made a few dents in the rad I’m probably being obsessive about it. It’s probably less than 5% surface area but I would like to get to my radiator with a tweezer and straighten out those fins lol. How do I get to my radiator exactly? I’d appreciate a detail response. Thanks so much.:)

Polaris Beats Can-Am Again?

Just seen the 2017 Polaris RZR 1000 Turbo with 168HP. Didn’t take them long to release a new one after Can-Am did. Looks like they’ve got a new all digital gauge as well. While they may have them beat in horsepower I think Polaris really needs to do some updating on there fit and finish for 2018. This needs to be done across the entire line just not the side by side line, whats everyone elses thought?
