I’m desperate now!!! 2000 TRX400 I’m the 2nd owner and I’ve had it about 5 years now. Great machine but I’m having a fuel problem that I can’t seem to solve so if there are any experts out there ( I know all you guys are!) help a brother out here!! It’s got a new carb, fuel lines and fuel filter.
Started acting up about 6 weeks ago, I ride it every weekend, and it would stall and not start. Sooooo…I did all the fuel related checks, fuel filter, cap, checked fuel flow and got it running. Following weekend same thing, would run for a bit then stall and not start. Took the tank off and cleaned it out and blew everything dry and re-assembled. Ran for the weekend but the following weekend, same thing!! Ordered a new gas cap thinking that might be the problem and it ran for a while. Following weekend same thing after a day or two of riding so I ordered a new fuel shutoff valve. Took the tank off, AGAIN, and installed the new valve and it ran for a day or two, and went home. Next weekend ran for a while and quit. This time I removed the seat and I blew into the tank (using the cap hose watching the see-through fuel filter) since I discovered it’s always empty when it quits, and when the filter would fill up blowing into the tank hose, it runs. It will run for 5-10 minutes and then it quits, blow on the cap hose and it ALWAYS starts. Disconnect the fuel line to the carb and open the valve, gas flows out like crazy. Disconnect the fuel line at the valve and turn it on, gas flows out like crazy. Don’t forget it’s got a new cap, filter, fuel lines, carb and shutoff valve.
I’m at a loss and need ANY suggestions anybody might have to solve this puzzle. As always thanks to all in advance for any help on this. HELP

The 2013 started leaking rad fluid, found the hose going into the bottom of the motor had taken a cut were the side shields rub on it. Bike had 2000 miles on it. We used black electrical tape and duct tape to patch leak till we could finish ride. I checked my 2016 XMR and the rad hose showed the same type of cut, just hadn’t started leaking yet. Again tape was used to finish the ride. This bike has 1500 miles on it.
Check your bikes folks, if you are sitting on bike it is by your right front wheel. Back shield is tight to rad hose, and constantly rubs up and down like a knife on it.
