2014 570 EFI Sportsman

I am new to this forum and site but thought I would pass this along and see if anyone has heard of such a story.

Using my ATV for a few hours this past weekend. Nothing out of the ordinary just taking materials up and down a 50 foot hill to a job site below my home. After a few hours of use I noticed the fuel was getting low so stopped at the top of the hill and turned off the ignition. I began to remove the gas cap and there was a hissing sound coming from the gas cap, thought "no big deal there is a bit of overpressure". Turn it a little further and the hiss went to a rather loud whoosh as more pressure was let off. Undid it a little further and Bamm! The cap was blown out of my hand, flew up in the air smashing the windshield with such force that it folded the windshield over, cracking the plastic all around the mounts. As this was happening I dove off the bike and turned to look at the bike only to see a geyser of the remaining fuel blow out of the tank about 15 feet above the bike and fall back to the ground covering me and the bike with gas. I thank God the cap didn’t hit me or that I or others were not smoking in the area. I took apart everything the best I could to have a look at the pressure release valves and everything appeared in order. The next day I put everything back together, changed the gas cap with one from my 2013 Polaris 500, added a little fuel in the tank and it started right up. I used it for a couple of hours, constantly checking the fuel cap to ensure there were no more overpressure issues and all was fine. The next day I went to start the machine and now the Power steering and Check engine light are now on. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? Comments or suggestions before I take it to my Polaris dealer?

Places to ride in Oklohama

So im headed up to Stillwater OK for a few weeks for work, by some miracle i wont have to work on the weekends and since im driving then the grizzly is coming with. Ive looked up and found a few parks just a few hours away, i was wondering if any one has visited Redneck Off-Road Heaven or Rutt-n-strutt River Ranch? i plan to camp out for the night and get as much riding in as i can on the weekend. worst case i’ll head back down to texas go to jacksonville for Mudtoberfest at Mud Creek offroad park, but i’d prefer to try riding some where in OK. or if any one know of a good park in Oklahoma.

Thanks Guys

New to the Forum, new to 4 wheelers

Hello – Just picked up a new 570 for me and 110 for my son. Both sage green. I’m totally impressed with the 570. This is my first ATV and this machine has way more power than I thought it was going to. I’ve read a lot on this forum about oil changes, front/rear/CVT fluid changes etc. I’m likely to stick with M1 as I run that in all other engines I have and keep a good stock of it around. Check out the pix of my our ride this past weekend. About a mile behind our house, its an old boy scout camp that’s no longer in use. Absolutely beautiful.

ATV width

I have a friend who rides a 2004 Rubicon 500. I have a 2012 polaris 500. My trailer deck is exactly 8′ wide and my Polaris is exactly 48" outside wheel to outside wheel. I am wondering if anyone has the outside wheel to outside wheel width on a 2004 Rubicon?

Honda sportrax 250ex problem

I have a 2002 Honda sportrax 250ex, my problem is that it dies at higher speeds and when it does it won’t let me start it unless I wait like 5 minutes. I noticed that it’ll start right up only when I’m able to get my green neutral light back on! Otherwise it won’t. Could t b a bad voltage regulator? Otherwise the atv starts and idles fine, it also runs fine but only if I hold the trottle for a little. When I cruise for longer that’s when it dies. Hope this makes sense and someone can help me out thank you
