This one is throwing me, neighbors 95 300 fwd keeps blowing the ignition or main fuse, the dc outlet is cut due a problem with a winch (p owner) neighbor put a new battery in , and had the ignition switch on when he hooked it up ?
Doesn’t make any deference wether the light s on or off, kill switch doesn’t effect this ether?
I have an Ace 570 that is almost due for it’s first service. I asked the dealer I bought it at and was told about $300.00 what with changing all break in fluids, lube all that. Just for fun I called another dealer closer to me (they didn’t have any Ace’s when I bought) And the woman who runs the place told me $100.00 since all the owners manual calls for is an oil and filter change.
She laughingly told me she has a lot of time to read and the manual clearly reads as she said.
I am new to ATV’s but I read the manual and I read it the same as she does.
What say you folks with knowledge of these things. I am but a poor man (retired military) and $200.00 is a good chunk of change.
I have a 2007 Polaris Phoenix. One of the bolts came out of the flywheel and tore apart the stator. I pulled the engine and cleaned it all. I then installed a new stator and put the machine back together. I tried to start it for the first time after putting together and I have no spark. What do I do??? I tested the stator with an ohm meter and I was getting a reading, not sure how to tell if it’s correct. Any assistance would be great… Thanks!!!!!
Does anyone know if any of the rear diffs are interchangable? I have an 09 xp 850 and exploded the rear diff. I’m trying to find a good used one and can find lots for 10-15 but nothing but new for 09. Any input would be helpful!
I have an outlander 1000 that dies when I put water on spark plugs changed the boots and also put dielectric grease in them the old boots had cracks in them but was arcing against the block with the water and causing it to die and changing the boots and still having issues when water splashes on it can not figure out what the problem is need some help please!
i just did a secondary reduction on my 2013 420 AT. ES mode works great. Auto mode doesn’t shift to 2nd gear until 7mph, and 3rd gear until 11mph. This has the motor rev’d pretty high before shifting. Is there any way to reprogram the shift points without buying a $200 programmer that has to stay on the bike?
Seems like the computer should be able to be reprogrammed eh?
Just brought home a new 2016 Outty 1000XT. Picked it up under the yellow tag event. Loving it already. You can see I joined December 2015 when I was looking for a new bike. Was gonna get an outlander L but ended up getting a Honda Rancher. Anyway, really happy about this new bike and looking forward to making it my own.
I read the threads on here about installing the BRP snorkel and saw some people had issues with ordering the wrong kit. I couldn’t find any posts from people with 2016 outty 1000 XT’s.
Has anyone installed on their 2016 bike and if so can you please post the correct part number? As far as I can tell there are two G2 kits and I don’t want to order the wrong one.
I don’t think this method is limited to just an 08. I bought a 6$ pipe fitting at Home Depot and grinded all the sides down until it could fit right in the pinion nut spun it off with a vice and huge channel locks and some elbow grease, but I think big vicegrips would be better!
The pipe fitting was I think 1 1/2 x 1 1/4 don’t quote me bring your diff in just to make sure the pipe fitting slides over your pinion gear as it does in the picture! Figured I would share this since I couldn’t find any other tools to work.
