Wiring Problems in Harness

I could really use your help. I have a 2009 Sportsman 500 X2 ATV with EFI. Last night while hauling the trash up my long driveway, I started having a problem. When I turned to the right, all power died and killed the engine. I turned left and the power was back on and I could restart the engine. I could go left or straight but not right. I had a problem with a broken light wire 2 years ago and I figured it was broken wire from the ignition. I jammed my hand up in the wiring and I was able to go to the right slightly and get it to the garage. In the garage it was the same – to the right it died , left ok, but it was getting worse. I could see down the headlight enclosure that a yellow wire had broken, so to fix it I had to tear off the headlamp, pars, etc.

When I got everything off, I found several wires broken an a couple with broken insulation. Is this a QC problem on these models? I use it lightly and never off road. I was going to splice in new wires, but is this the best way to go. IMPORTANT Can I buy a manual with wiring diagrams on-line?

Thank, Rick

2016 Grizzly Hand Brake Issue

I had to move my handbrake over maybe an inch to make room for a pair of hand guards. Now my brake doesn’t seem to work. Today it seem like it was loose and at one point it was hard to press. The left hand brake is tied to the right foot brake and that is the one I seem to have an issue with. It almost seemed like the brake had locked up at one point. I just took a very short ride. Sometimes modding stuff causes problems. I can fix electronic stuff but, working on the ATV is new to me.

1997 polaris scrambler 500 oil leak

I have a 97 scrambler 500 4×4. I noticed that I am now leaking oil from the crankcase. After looking over everything I found a hole that the oil is leaking from that is located by the drain plug. Does anyone know what is supposed to be there. The hole is on the part of the crankcase that the water pump is mounted onto.

Upgraded/New battery

Time for me to replace my battery with a new one. Looking to see if there are any that are better than OEM that will fit in my G2 Outlander. I’ve been looking at Odyssey batteries but still trying to figure out what fits in the stock battery location. If you have any pics or suggestions they would be appreciated.
