I just installed a new starter on my 2002 sportsman 400. Turns when powered but sounds like it’s just spinning inside. Felt like it locked into the other gear when I installed it,so I’m wondering why motor won’t crank over?

Hi guys, I’m a new member from Australia, I primarily use my 660 grizzly for hunting & meat recovery, however it’s handy for taking out the odd bail of hay, towing trailers ect.. Awesome tool This site is brilliant for info on how to fix things on the machine..I just got it back from the mechanic, it was in for a service but primarily to fix the "no light on neutral or park" they did’nt fix it, & it’s 10K back into town.. So I started search the web, & here I am..I fixed the neutral problem in 10 minutes thanks to this site

I am still working on my 1999 Xplorer 400 4×4, and noticed a 2000 Xplorer 4×4 that looks to be a 325. I would like to buy it for parts that I need like the clutch cover, seat, front axle, drive chain, rear sprocket, and some electric stuff. Just wondering if the parts off that ATV would work on mine.

So I bought a 2006(maybe) grizzly 660. Previous owner either was really bad at repairs or trusted the wrong shop.[emoji1]

I’ve been lurking here and YouTube for a while, gonna be doing the shifter fix soon.

Finally registered because the drive belt started blowing smoke out of the snorkel. When I looked into it, I found a sheave stamped oct of 2015, but more interesting was a fixed sheave with no center gear just flopping around on the spindle. So I thought I would poke around the classifieds before I dropped 120 on a new one.

I’ve polished down crazing on the digital readout, changed winch contactor, all four wheel bearings, both front axles, and still need to rebuild the front diff and fix the shifter.

If you’ve read this far, you probably think I’m nuts for buying this thing. But I got it incredibly cheap, and would rather spend the money on parts and know it’s put together correctly than just trust its right when I buy it.

Whats the standard bore on a 660?

I was riding my 3 wheeler today and when I was backing it into the garage it died, I went to try to start it up again and it would even start. Pulled the plug and only sparks once per pull! I’ve replaced the cdi box, starter, spark plug, plug wire, new carb, made sure it has good gas, unplugged the kill switch and the timing seems to be correct(all the marks line up still). I’m at a loss!! It will pop every couple of pulls but not enough to get it running. Any help is appreciated!!

Hi, I’m in need of a right footwell for my ’04 Sportsman EFI and I might also be interested in the (plastic)rear rack for same, depending on price(s).

Ok so Honda 300 94 no spark. I can kick start it and it sparks fine if I use starter it will not spark when I left off starter button it will fire one time. I can take the neutral safety wire off and ground it oust starter button while holding the button take the safety wire off ground and it will spark. I have replaced kill switch assy on handle bar neutral switch key switch cdi checked for bad spots in harness and still nothing. Does anyone have any ideas.

Hello everyone. I have a 1996 Polaris magnum 425 4×4 that wont shift into low gear. It was working fine while i was hauling firewood and now i cant get the shift lever to budge. Hi gear, neutral and reverse all work fine. the shift lever will not move into low gear. any help on where to start fixing this problem would be great. Thanks!

Help me decide folks…

I’m looking to purchase either a set of 26" Bear Claw HTR -or- 26" Roctane XD’s (Sizes F: 26-9R-12 & R: 26-11R-12) mounted on a set of the ITP Machined SS212. Both sets of tires are 8 ply radial rated, and have a ~.8" tread depth. Both sets are also comparably priced with in $10-20 of each other. So the choice is harder.
