New side Bar protectors fitment

:aniwheeler6: ok so I got 2016 Ltd and have the heavy duty bar fitted On the bottom side of the XT bar it comes with very sturdy indeed. But recently I went bush and hit my guards on some small trees and decided that I needed some extra protection ( enter new 2017 rancher series G2 bars and side bars) new BRP cattle dog says the side bars will fit with XT front and rear bars all good so far, so I ordered a set and picked them up today started fitting them ( crappy instructions say 20 min fittment for one person …. bahahahaha thats a joke.) so I have full underbody protection and had to take off the foot well skid plates to fit the side bars 1.5 hours.
Now the problem! Skid plates won’t fit back the same, as the brackets are now in the way. So going to have to do some re-engineering on them. Good news is the bars look really good and feel fairly sturdy to bounce off the trees and has good clearance from the guards.
If you have a max you will also need the extension for the bars to fit the length.
Part number is 715003459
Extension part number
715003460
I’ll post some picks soon.

Hello all!

So I totaled my 2014 Polaris Sportsman 850ho LE by snapping the cheap thing they call a frame! Needless to say I am going to the yellow side when I get my insurance check! I refuse to finance pretty much anything so I will be buying used. My eyes are on a few ’13 to ’15 Outlander 1000 and some Renegades as well. I’ve had 4 back surgeries and going under the knife again in November. That means xxc or better for the Fox shocks, which are exactly what I had on my old p.o.s. I am wondering the pros and cons of the two models. I am in western MA and we have rocks everywhere here in the "hills". Also quite a bit of mud and water. Love the looks of the Renegade but love how much more practical a outlander could be. So opinions?
