Took my Polaris sportsman for its first ride yesterday, what a blast. Unfortunately I don’t yet have a trailer so I transport it in the truck bed. It’s pretty steep and sketchy with the loading ramps so I would prefer to winch it up to the truck – Any suggestions where/how to secure the winch?
Also, I noticed when I got to the trail head, the ratchet straps have loosened a bit, so maybe I could use a lesson in how to properly secure it, too. Unfortunately the tailgate does not quit close, which is another issue.
After fourwheeler starts warming up it idles up erratically. Then it will die. Runs great until it starts to warm up. I just redid topend and it ran great. Just had a pecking sound which I found was a cracked valve guide. So I replaced the guide and now I have this issue with it giving it’s own throttle.. guessing I messed up somewhere so I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks
I have a 1996 honda 300ex.Today i noticed it has rough idle and when i am coming to stop it will stall unless i keep on the throttle then its fine.and it keeps fouling plugs.Anybody know what the problem is here.The things i have done to it is hmf full exaust and kn air filter.I took it to a shop to get it jetted right.This was done like 8 years ago.
Just bought a 2006 sportsman 800, mostly to work around home as I never seem to have time for fun. I’ve changed all the fluids, spark plugs and fuel filte so I have a benchmark as to when they have been done. Does anyone suggest anything else. Also I noticed I have a cracked sidewall on one if my tires that is leaking so I’ll need tires it has 26x8R12 front and 26x11R12 back. What other sizes could I use? I don’t need big tires just practical options. Doe the numbers represent height, width and rim?
I noticed today that my rad fan is coming on almost immediately even when cold. I seem to have misplaced my owners manual and I am away from my 2016 570l at the moment. Where in the heck is the coolant bottle? I checked under the fenders and could not locate it but I have not yet pulled any of the plastics. Thank in advance!
I have a 2016 570 Sportsman. I wanted to upgrade tires so i’m ordering some new Bear claws…. But then I started looking at wheels and you know how that goes…lol.
Anyway I kept seeing cheap sets of RZR wheels around so I grabbed a set and painted them. (I paint cars for a living)
OK I have a 93 fourtrax 300 4×2 got it cleaned the carb out new plug new gas cleaned the tank out new oil and filter rebuilt the card rode it a week ago ran and shifted great today we got it out and it didn’t wanna full throttle like normal and when it did while riding it it sounded really bad like rattling I checked the carb oil level it idles fine but just doesn’t want to run wide open like it should and when it does it rattles really bad and doesn’t seen to have any power please help
Did 90 throttle cable, runs great, was wondering if jetting needs to be done to get rid of hesitation at initial full throttle hit? Ease into throttle, runs great. Also does the gray wore these talk about really do anything if cut? If so where is it?
Anyone done any clutch work or gearing to these?
