Thanks for the opportunity to join in. I bought a ’98 Grizzly 600 a few weeks ago. It wasn’t running when I bought it. Having to go thru all the systems. So far it has been pretty time consuming. The bike was "rode had and put up wet" if you know what I mean. The PO’s really like to hodge-podge things together too. Being an engineer by trade, I am not like that, I want it to be done my the book. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for improvements, but not taking shortcuts.

Thanks again for the opportunity to join, hopefully I can add something useful.

one Way bearing?

I have a 2011 grizzly 700 eps 1300km / 180hours.

When i drive in High gear downhill ,and then let go of the throttle, the motor brakes, but after a couple seconds it start rolling freely faster and faster.. Is this normal or is it the One Way bearing? Other stuff?

Sometimes it brakes all the way Down, sometimes it dont..

checked all oil levels, all ok.

bought 2016 570l and 450l. upgrades?

Hello all, I bought a 2016 570l for my self and a 450l 2up for my wife about 1 month ago. We LOVE them, such a blast to drive and awesome through the trails in northern Michigan where we ride.

I’m sure some will say I should have bought a bigger atv for asking about mods but the prices, situation etc. for the moment made these a good choice so…

Ok so the 450… it sounds like its got the flu lol can I do a better exhaust? has anyone had any experience with giving the 450 a little umph? This is my wife so not trying to make anything crazy but when she climbed Bull Gap hill this last Saturday the quad had a hard time spinning in four wheel in the sand. She is a small woman and I didn’t think it would have a hard time with her.

The 570… wow what a fun quad lol that thing is awesome. My buddy who rides with us has a yfz450 and he can barely beat me lol so any mod suggestions for this quad would be greatly appreciated.

I am an intermediate rider but not very knowledge when it comes to working on atv type stuff. i can build you an 800hp ls1 but not an atv motor lol. I am reading as much as i can on mods and stuff so please don’t think I’m trying to get someone to do my home work just hoping to get some perspectives and opinions on routes other have done with theirs. just saying for those who usually reply with "do a search looser" lol

thanks and happy riding 😉

Bought a TRX400 – needs a couple of things ..

Heya!

So scored myself a 04 TRX 400 FA4. It needs a new angel sensor which is all good – an easy fix I’m pretty sure I can take care of and from all accounts rather common!

The other items that need attention are as follows:
Needs R/F wheel bearing kit
R/F inner CV boot
L/F CV shaft
Has a seized foot brake pedal

Everything else on it seems mint.

So any links / assistance and advice of how I can fix up the aforementioned would be greatly appreciated! I’m hoping to do the work myself (very novice) /!: learn along the way. Also – any good places to buy the parts required in bulk and shipped to NEW ZEALAND would be helpful.

thanks for your time guys – I’ll post some pics soon

Ps: it’s not long had new stator and voltage regulator.

Spark Plugs

Has anybody used the ”Brisk” performance spark plugs? Doing my valve adjustment and since the plugs are readlily excessable now, (all the plastics and heat shields are out of the way), I was thinking that it might not be a bad idea to change the plugs if these Brisk performance plugs are as good as advertized.
1. Higher HP and torque by up to 3 %
2. Increased economy by up to 5%
3. 360° Firing Technology
4. Improved acceleration by up to 15 %
5. 25,000 miles – 40,000 km duration
