Does anyone else’s machine seem like it never starts the same?? Sometimes its one crank, sometimes 3, sometimes it cranks once, the starter pauses then whines back up and starts. Well after working on my TPS issue the atv started weird and threw code 520193 7 but cleared after i turned it off and then got a clean start. Its not the first time but only done this like twice before. Any ideas?
yesterday i installed a power commander to my Scrambler 1000 XP 2016. It can be done, with little wiring. The standard throttle cable Scrambler has a TPS on left side of throttle bodies and you just need to unplug it and plug it in power commander. The e-throttle variant also has a standard TPS inside the casing.
You need to cut off TPS connector from power commander and wire the Black wire with white stripes to pink-violet wire (digital ground) and gray wire to dark green wire (TPS 1 SIGNAL OUT). You will need to extend the power commander wires for about 25 cm so you can route them nicely with original installation
I post this if in future someone will need this info. The throttle body is same on some RZR-s. Managed to figure this one out with Dynojet team.
You can easily disasemble connector and push new wire next to old wire under rubber water plug and solder it to connector. So you will keep your waterproof connections. ( i forgot to take a picture of it, but will if someone might need it). Dont forget to calibrate TPS in power commander with engine running and warmed to operating temperature, otherwise you will have about 5 % difference.
While doing standard maintenance on my new to me 2005 Rincon 650, I was cleaning the air filter and busted off the sub filter in the airbox. Any idea where a new one could be found, or perhaps some other replacement could be manufactured?

Any way to decode the vin to find out what year it is? Its pretty rough and all i can find is what i believe to be the vin on the right side frame right in front of the shift lever. #2283388
Im trying to get it running again but a lot of the wiring is messed up. I found the repair manual for the late 90s polaris atvs but its got three separate wiring diagrams in it. One for 96, 97, and 98. Pretty sure it not a 95 because the main drive has a belt not a chain, which i believe i read on here only 95s were chain drive. Ive looked at all three diagrams and found discrepancys in all of them compared to what i have (Which has been hacked up badly)
Also is there some kind of release for the gear selector? It wont move at all.
Thanks for your help. This is my first post here but ive already learned a lot just browsing the last couple days.
Can anyone recommend a spreader I can tow behind the Grizzly . Or has anyone made a sand spreader ? I have a long driveway . I would like some ideas for building one , I think ground driven would work for me.
Ok guys so I had another thread on this and I thought I’d start a fresh one. My brake light was stuck on and still is. I replaced the bulb and no difference. I removed the front cover under the high beam headlight and saw the connector with the orange/ two red wires (one with white strip) connected to the brake pressure switch. When I remove it the brakelight goes dim to how it’s supposed to be when you’re not hitting the brakes. With it disconnected and depressing the brake lever the brake light didn’t illuminate. When i plug it back in the brake light is stuck on again. This sportsman has only 240 miles. The switch does NOT look easy to replace as there is alot of stuff surrounding it and im not sure if brake fluid would come out if i took it apart. Any help or walk throughs is appreciated. Also to add the only other issues is the rear left tire doesnt hold air long it will only hold about 1.5 PSI its a rawhide grip tire. Other thing is sometimes in AWD backing up or going forward for a few feet the atv pulls to one side as if its not disengaging 1 front tire (usually left tire).
Hello all! I’m new to this Honda forum. I’m a big Honda fan. I own a couple… I just picked up a 2004 Honda Rancher 350 ES 4×4 for my boys. It originally showed just under 1600 miles on it. It now shows 999999 for the odo and 999999 for the hours. It did have a dead battery and sat for a little while with the dead bat. Any recommendations on how to fix it? Also switched over to km/h. I attached a pic. I’ve checked the fuses, checked and replaced the battery, held down the odo button while turning the key on several times. Do I need a new display screen or is there another problem? Thanks for the help!!
I just wanted to share something I learned this weekend. I turned mine on its side, stopped to take a couple of pictures and my machine smoked like crazy the next time I hammered on it. I assume oil from the crank case vent let oil into my air box. Was pretty worried until I did some research and found the air filter dripping wet.
Any suggestions other than cleaning out air box, filter and checking the oil level?
