Looking at purchasing a new 2016 Sportsman XP 1000 EPS. I have never owned a Polaris product. Local Polaris/Arctic Cat Dealer is asking $8,900 for it. I read that the Sportsman has issues w/heat from the exhaust melting the plastic cab. Has this issue been resolved in 2016 or is it still a problem? Would appreciate hearing from owners of the 2016 Sportsman XP 1000 as to any other issues they have encountered.

In brand new condition, less than 1 mile, red, 4wd power steering foot shift model. Bought new in Nov. 2010, and ended up never needing it for anything. Hey guys, I want your guys opinion, in buying an 850 sp 2016 model tomorrow and what’s your guys thoughts on it’s top speed and it’s power? How well does it ride? Anything I should look out for?

Hey guys, I’m more of an MX guy but I’ve been wanting an ATV so I acquired a non running 1996 Polaris Sportsman 4×4 with the 400 2-stroke. I got the thing so cheap I almost felt bad about it but they thought the motor was locked up. Turns out that was not the case. Just needs a lot of TLC. Just wanted to introduce myself. Is there anything I need to know about this model and any upgrades I should do? I do all my work myself so it won’t be seeing a shop. Thanks guys!
