Picked up Trailblazer cheap – questions on cleaning

I picked up a trailblazer that sparks, has good compression, and supposedly original tires (a little dry rotted), but for $200, I thought I wouldn’t be out much. The ATV set for a few years, and there was a LOT of varnish in the carb. We’re cleaning that, and then I wondered if I needed to clean the inside of the engine. I’ve not messed with a 2-stroke before, and I know I don’t want to pull the engine. Also, I was going to disable the oil pump and mix the oil directly with the gas, so should I just plug the hose from the oil pump? Finally, the clutch cover was not screwed on, and the clutch is a little rusted. It pushes in about 3/16". What exactly is the best way to clean this up?

Lost 4wd on 800×2 need switch wiring

My kids use the 07 800X2 in two wheel so I don’t know how long it’s been out I can move the switch position to 2×4, turf or AWD but it just stays in 2×4, I
hope it’s a electrical problem. Does anyone have a link for wiring diagram or has anyone had a similar problem with their Polaris 800.

Sorry for the post, to be clear I drove the 800 into a marsh and tried backing out, rear tires would spin, front done nothing. After reading some post I think you have to press a button on the headlight pod to have AWD in reverse or something like that, is this the way it works? Guess I need to drive this thing sometimes and stay off the side by side, it’s tough being old.

scammers

just got a call on the phone from 1-800 number. said that a windows key did not work anymore and there will be problems, to call some other number. gimme a break…. i only had one xp key that quit, after switching HD from one desk top unit to another, or changing motherboards back an forth. you find the key problem out on your PC, not some phone call. scammers are everywhere. like ticks an mosquito’s.

rolled the darn thing

So I rolled the bike the other day. Only major damage was the back rack, just the black plastic got broken. Problem is when I straightened the back metal bar and put my plastic back on, and what was left of the back rack, the yellow plastic was sagging because the back rack was not holding it up. Can anyone tell me what year back racks would fit the 2012 Sportsman 500. Do any of the after market back seats replace the back rack or do they all sit on top of it.

2005 Sportsman 800

Hi everyone, I recently purchased a 05 Sportsman 800 from a buddy of mine. When i got it home and took it for a ride everything was fine. After roughly 20 minutes of riding it seemed to go into limp mode and wouldn’t go ever 30 mph. It has a K&N air filter and Muzzy dual exhaust. My first thought was running to lean. Nope. After a couple more hot laps and making it go back into limp mode I checked the spark. The coil that runs to the left side cylinder is only firing when it wants to. Should I automatically assume bad coil or is there a way that I can test it. Thanks for your input in advance.

Folding Trailer great for ATVs

I was in search for a trailer to transport my ATV around, and came across a really great folding trailer that tilts for on and off loading of my ATV. I bought the trailer new for $620 plus tax, came with all the proper paper work for purchasing your licence plate. It is a very versatile trailer that you can easily customize to suit your needs. The best part is that it is a heavy duty trailer but folds up and can be tucked out of the way when needed. They have different sizes (4’x8′, 5’x8′), finishes (black powder coat, and galvanized) and weight capacities. The company has great customer service, with warranty and 24/7 assembly support. Check them out htstrailers.com (416) 912-8413.
