450L Gear Oil??

Does a 450L Outlander Max have a Transmission/Gear Case that Requires an Oil Change, or just a front & rear Final drive? I see the 570 has a Gearbox and to change the oil in it, But 450 Just says to Change Motor oil, 3.L, Front Drive. 17.oz Rear 18.5 oz But Nothing on a Gear case?? AM I missing Something??
Thanks

T6 in my Ferris mower?

While researching which oil to use in my 570 I read so much good about Rotella T6 I was thinking about switching to it in my Ferris ZTR mower. It has a 30 HP Briggs engine on it. I have been running Valvoline conventional 10-30 (I think that is what it takes). Is there any reason I would have issues switching to T6? Also I am assuming the standard Briggs oil filters will work the same with T6?

I have seen a lot of people talking on this site about running T6 but have never heard anyone mention the $5.00 rebate they offer per gallon. A guy I work with today told me about it texted me the link. He said for years they have offered $5.00 off per gallon. He buys his at Wally World locally for $22. I paid $15 for two quarts, I didn’t even think about looking at gallons because the 570 was the only thing I needed it for. With the rebate he said he has $17.00 in a gallon and he uses it in his bike, tractor and everything else.

He said you just snap a pick of your receipt and they send you a check.

Hello from Minnesota

I’m the proud new owner of a 2016 sportsman 850. Was just curious what people think about this machine? Good bad or other.. is there anything a guy should watch out for? Things of that nature.. not my first atv but so far my favorite.

2009 sportsman touring 500 efi no power when you turn the key

Good Day Ladies and Gents:

Just discovered this site when I discovered I coudnt get my quad started. So, new member here hoping for some help.

Bear with me, this is a weird one:

2009 Polaris Sportsman, Touring 500 efi;

Yesterday, coming out of the bush and engine dies. Turn the key, nothing. Jiggle the handle bars left and right, turn the key, it starts for about five seconds and check engine light comes on and dies. Happens repeatedly but cant move machine because it dies every time I move.

Tow machine back to house.

Battery fully charged. Cables to battery and solenoid tight. Turn handle bars to the right, turn key, nothing. Handle bars straight, turn key, nothing. Wait for it::tired: turn handle bars left and turn key, fires up no problem. While running, turn handle bars straight, engine dies, panel cluster goes blank, like no battery in machine. Do this repeatedly with the same results.

Turn handle bars straight and jiggle wire cluster coming out of the bottom of the panel cluster and headlight container. Jiggle wires just right and panel cluster comes to life and I can start the machine.

WTF

HELP.

What is the problem here and has anyone else had this problem.

also, how do I fix this.

Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.

Regards,

Max

Starting problem 2006 Sportsman 500 EFI HO

I am currently getting no fuel and no spark. I have replaced the battery, fuel pump and PDM. The bike cranks over just fine and the display lights up. I have checked the wiring and can’t find any shorts. I am getting 4.99 volts at the plug for the fuel pump, however when I plug it in voltage drops to zero. I’m honestly at a loss here! Any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Spare tire

Does any one pack along spare tire when they tide? Honda wrote in their handbook, you can ride farther than you can walk in a day. I wouldn’t have wanted to walk home from where I was today, not even back to he highway.

Does any company make a narrow tire to be used as a spare? Kind of like what GM calls a portable spare?

Thanks for your consideration.

Great day for a ride

I took my new Foreman, a new 2013, out in the local desert. Its about a 4 mile drive to an entry point to what we call State Trust Land. There are 1000s of acre of BLM and Trust land. All that is asked is $15 a year permit and to stay on established trails. Np with any of that!

It is a beautiful cloudless 80 F day and no wind. Sonoran Desert is very beautiful even if a little dry. The new Foreman ran like a top and I got a small taste of uneven ground via badly rutted roads. I am a novice so its all good. Ill put pictures as soon as I get them out of the camera.

I hope your recent ride was a nice as this one. I think Ill get a flag as the camo works!
