Misc Grizzly 700 Items

I have several items left over from my Grizzly 700 Ducks Unlimited Edition.

1. Black lid that goes in front of handlebars where the grizzly or Yamaha logo goes.
I have 1 new in the package with no logo on it
I have 1 used with the Ducks Unlimited logo on it

2. 1 New Ducks Unlimited logo/emblem that goes on the front lid

3. Used belt, in really good condition, just put new one on when I did JBS sheave. This one was used with stock sheave.

4. 1 New Black Exhaust tip with spark arrestor grid and screws. Never installed it when I bought it (was close to time I sold the ATV).

5. Bag of used screws that go on the cam plate on the sheave (with washers)

6. 1 Set of new 6 pc wet clutch stall springs. I never go around to installing these. Ordered after I replaced the wet clutch and never went back in it.

7. 1 new 90170-06128 Nut that goes on the valve adjusting screw. I lost one when I replaced cam and bought 2 so i would have an extra. Different threads than a standard nut at any local store.

8. 1 new 90467-09006 clip that goes on gas line

9.1 new 90445-09068 hose (small piece of gas line)

10. 1 new wet clutch slug kit with 6 slugs and new 3B4-15463-00 gasket

11. 1 use primary sheave half (replaced with JBS sheave). Comes with roller weights (roller weights have less than 20 miles on them).

12. 1 used stock spring (metal color with orange stripe)

13. 2 sets of new Dr Pulley slider weights. Can’t remember exactly, think they are 15 in 1 set and 16 in the other.

14. 2 rings that go on end of spring to help it move more freely. Never used them when I installed spring. Left them at home when I went to shop to do it and never went back in and added them.

15. 1 1mm shim. Actual shim, not just a washer. Tried it with another 1 and couldn’t fit them both with JBS sheave so only used for testing around the shop, never ridden with it in.

16. 1 lightly used tub of grease to put in sheave on weights. 1 lightly used tube of green grease used on shaft in CVT.

I am located in west/central GA. I will ship any/all of these items at buyer’s expense. Make an offer on any of it.

CV boot leaking, no tear

Hi,

I am thinking I can just put a new clamp on this, I can’t seem to find a tear and it seems to be leaking a tad.

Would you ignore and drive it, replace the boot, add a zip tie, or get a new clamp?

I think tonight I’ll clean it up and get some better pic’s.

I’ve got 6,500 miles on it, mainly problem free. I rode 130 miles last few days and you can see little BB size globs are coughing out.

Any recommendations? I don’t want to take it off if I don’t have to. I’m thinking of just ignoring it.

Drive train issues.

Hola everyone,
First time posting.

I just upgraded from a 2006 Sportsman 800 EFI to a 2015 Sportsman XP 1000. The quad has just over 80 hours on it.
When I test drove it on dirt, it seemed like it started revving up too much before the drive train engaged (Around 2250 rpm). It wasn’t that bad. When I got it home, the revving and delay on engaging was more prevalent in the concrete driveway. Additionally, there was a slight clunk coming from the rear end, and it would surge a bit after the clunk hit… like it was locking into gear. I don’t hear any grinding and all the bearings seem tight on the Diff.
I know they are belt driven, and have two variable pullies that give you your speed. What I don’t know is what might be causing this issue. Any ideas?

Second issue I am having is that when I am up at speed, it seems like it is pushing to the right. Do you think the drive train issues I am having are causing this push, or is it a separate problem?

2003 250EX idles only

Was riding my ATV fine all day, then for some reason unknown to me it died. Started it up fine and it idled no problem. But when I applied the throttle it would choke and die. Tried several times and same thing. What would be causing this?

2003 250 EX ATV won’t start, battery dead

Just purchased used ATV, worked fine for awhile. Then on a day of trail riding it just went dead. No cranking, no lights, not even the neutral light. I charged the battery and everything seem to be fine for awhile and then dead again. I am assuming what ever is charging the battery has failed. Being new to ATV, like last week. Don’t know the make up of what this part would be called so I can replace it. On a car it’s called an alternator, what is it called on an ATV?
