Hello all, First I am Rob, I am near the Chesterfeild/Marine City Area in Michigan. I have two brand new quads well a couple months old, One of them is a 2015 Sportsman XP 1000, The other is a 2016 570 SP Touring Edition.
I also just recently just purchased a new truck, It is a ram with the stupid 5.7 box. I am looking for option on how to two or or two quads on my bed as I want to be able to pull my 30′ travel trailer. Any Suggestions?? ALso is It just me or does your 570 run crazy hot
Is there a difference in circumference size on off name brand ball joints compared to Polaris stock. I replaced the lower ball joints on my 2013 Sportsman 850. The old ones had to be pressed out. The new one just went in with minimal hand force. The wheel assembly is very loose and the ball joint that enters the a arm hole actually moves in the hole. The ball joints were for this model. Has anybody run into this problem. I can’t imagine that the hole in the a arm got wider with riding. I am guessing that there is a problem with buying off name brands. Before I spend anymore on this, I want to locate the problem. All the bushings are tight.

I’ve got a 2007 Sportsman 800 that I am thinking about putting a brush guard on. Anyone use this one? Can it be used OK if I add a plow later on? Thanks for any info.
Do the Polaris accessory foot risers fit this ATV? The website would lead me to believe they do not. I have no idea why the accessory selection is so poor for the 2014 and up Touring. :bsflag:
So I have a 2007 500 rancher that sat for about a year, it is owned by a friend. Ran fine before that. When I got it it wouldn’t run at all, carb had a bunch of gelled fuel in it. I have cleaned plenty of carbs in my life. I removed the carb, cleaned it with carb cleaner and and compressed air. I removed the main, pilot and idle jet and made sure they were clean. The motor runs and idles great when it is cold, as soon as it warms up it will not idle anymore. When you rev up the theottle and let off it does when it comes back down. It also dies when you are driving and let off the throttle and it tries to come down to idle. Once again no issues in the first 5 mins of run time it will come back down and idle fine. Increasing the idle just causes it to idle really high. So I believe I have an issue with the idle circuit. Now pulling up a little on the choke and pinning the choke in place will fix the issue. I believe the choke richness up the idle circuit and that’s how it works. So I would assume that the motor is fuel starving at idle when it’s warm? Just not sure why, I have cleaned the carb twice now and have blown the passages out with compressed air. How do you get the Fuel Screw out by the way? It doesn’t have a Flat blade slot in it, just sort of a D shaped bottom on it that you can’t grab because it is recessed a little into the body of the carb? Should I just take the dremel and cut a slot into it so I can remove and clean it? What am I missing?

Has anyone heard of a recall or SB on the sportsman pinion cover. I just called the service dept where I’m buying my xp1000 and was asking if they’ll install the after market billet cover if I had it shipped to them,the guy that answered said he just saw a bulletin Friday about the cover,he’s going to look into it and see what it’s about. He did mention that they won’t install the billet cover though,guess I’ll have to do it myself,unless Polaris has a new fix for it.
