bad charger

I have a Schumacher brand maintainer on the battery for my riding lawnmower. My wife disconnected the clips from the battery to mow the grass. It was still plugged in to the power though for about a week. Now it doesn’t work. I’m getting ready to remove the back plate to look for obvious problems. That’s about all I know to do…..any ideas from ya’ll? Thanks

Gas Cap Options – other than aluminum?

It’s a well known issue that the oem gas caps don’t seal properly, leading to mud and water getting into the gas tank.

A lot of guys are replacing the gas cap with an aftermarket billet aluminum cap. However, I did this as well on my last quad (2013 Outlander) and it tore up the plastic threads on the tank opening.

Is there another option to get a good seal on the cap?

Wondering about plastic fitment

Hey guys, I’m new to the forum and joined up because I just went out and finally bought the renegade I’ve wanted for so long. I bought a 2013 STD renegade 1000. The plastics are pretty badly sun damaged worn and full of stitches.(I hate yellow). I would like to swap my yellow front and rear fenders and center panel with black plastics from a 2008 renegade 800x. Anyone know if this will fit??? I can’t find any solid answer. Really digging the look of all black. Just don’t want to spend a ton of money on something if it’s not going to fit. Thanks!

Practice Using the Kill Switch

Reading Policy Peddlers thread on a runaway Grizzly in reverse, made me realize that I have never used my kill switch, don’t even know if it woks. On three machines.

When things go wrong, we usually instinctively revert back to what we normally do…turn the key off, let off the gas, put the brakes on….

I do not recommend using the kill switch to turn machine off routinely, because the key will end up being left on. But maybe we should all do the "fire drill" and practice a going wrong issue and turn the kill switch off.

My mental command will be to Kill It. Same as my verbal command if we ever are riding. Means to turn off the kill switch.

Going to get out in the yard and do the fire drill today.

G1 tether install

My renegade has had a tether on it from when I bought it. Until Recently I never noticed it was tapped into my crank sensor. I removed it, but want to tap it in correctly. .i assume a wire off the multifunction / kill switch. It’s a pro armor.. I’m Not sure if it’s a closed or open, I’ll Have to test it when I get home.. Can anyone tell me what wire I need to tap Into?
