Hey guys,
Been reading the forums a while, finally joined after pulling the trigger on a 2016 TRX420FM1 this weekend :yeahbaby01:
In an attempt to limit the need for custom fabrication, i’m looking for some insight into the right combination of aftermarket parts to accomplish the following:
Full Ricochet skid plates
Warn Provantage front mount plow setup
Superwinch Terra 35 winch
I’m questioning whether or not using the KFI winch mount will prevent me from being able to mount the Warn front-mount plow setup later this year. Can i mount a Superwinch Terra 35 on a Warn winch mount plate? Will any of this interfere with the installation of Ricochet skid plates?
Really appreciate folks sharing their experiences, i’d like to minimize the amount of hole drilling, metal bending etc.
I haven’t run across this yet or really paid attention to it on any bikes i had here. This was feedback from a customer and i believe it was on a Kodiak.
Cust experienced even more than lean conditions after putting fuel tuner on (worked correctly for a month or more) after trouble shooting over phone. Found out that he had back filled his fuel tank with several inches of mud and crap that had come through the tank vent which was routed down by the hitch. This will lead to weak psi and possibly the replacement of a pretty expensive fuel pump/tank cleansing.
Not really sure on condition like time spent in the muck etc and i think its the same components of the older grizz (roll over valve etc) it may just be routing placement of vent line or his had a hole in it. Maybe his tank has a hole in it somewhere not really sure
basically opening discussion on it for you guys it could save a lot of people a $1000 repair bill. for just moving placement of tank vent, or it may just be isolated case.
Hi I am new to the site as well as Grizzly ATVs. I am the new owner of a Grizzly 700 EPS SE. I did a lot of searching for the right ATV to purchase and the results kept leading me back to this site. Great site.
Started my 2015 Outlander 500 XT up the other day and "Maintenance Required" message scrolled across my display. Does this message mean that I have scheduled maintenance due (i.e. oil change or whatever) or is this a message telling me there is an issue and that it needs to be serviced? I have less than 1000km on the ATV.
Then if I went into reverse it would. So it is trying to work, just not succeeding when there’s any kind of use going on. I ended up leaving it in 4×4 and just driving that way. Got it back.
ISO a stock exhaust just sitting in your garage. Bought the bike with an HMF on it and just don’t care for it. If anyone knows where I can find one let me know…
1. the nut on the rear axle pulling out even with red lock tight
2. Tie rod ends snapping and pulling my cv’s out of my axles even at low speeds. I have upgraded to the wicked built power steering and 2.0 steering box with built in steel tie rods. Also upgraded tie rod ends and 10.9 tie rode bolts. Sucks having to worry about my tie rods all day instead of having fun riding.
3. Currently after a ride. Pulled the SXS onto the trailer and it wont crank. It will turn over 1 time then nothing. Tested everything, Battery- Good but as soon as I hit the start button it goes from 12.8 to 8.1 at the lowest. Checked all the grounds and seems like the starter may be locked up. Has any one dealt with an issue like this? Is there a fast and easy way to get the starter out or do you have to take the whole belt cover and casing off to get it out?
4. Lastly I have a STM clutch and Gates Gforce Kevlar belt that barely lasted 20 hrs. I figured with the 30" tires that I needed a better clutch and belt but this thing barely made it half as long as the stock clutch and belt lasted. Any info would be great. I love this thing but I have had 9 rides on it with 7 having some kind of crazy expensive fix after a ride.
