Ok so I have decided to buy a Maverick. Main reason is I want to take my small children with me.

I don’t want to buy new, and I am not sure if I should get a two seater or 4 seater. I will be using the utv for trail riding, Going to try and keep it out of the mud but we all know how that goes

Now I have a couple of questions.

Like what year so I look out for?
Any years I should stay away from?
Any upgrades that have to be done right off the bat that I should take into account?
Is a four seater to big for trail riding

Any input would be great, also If I should be looking at another brand please let me know. From what I have read polaris has better suspension but the built quality sucks.

The header pipe is melting the plastic on the side of my 2016 sportsman 850. Does anyone else have this issue? My friend is having the same issue on his 2015 sportsman 850.

Hi everyone, I currently have 20 hours on my 2016 Sportsman 850. I was going to change all my drive line fluids along with the engine oil. My question is 20 hours to soon for the drive line fluids? The owners manual says 100 hours for the first change for the drive line fluids but i know when things are new little metal shavings can come off. I wanted to change it out to be on the side of safe but if its unnecessary then maybe ill save the money and wait.

I am getting a wrench flashing with hdlbr flashing with it. any ideas what it is telling me? I just replaced the regulator/rectifier and it is charging perfect so I’m sure it has nothing to do with that. any help would be appreciated .

Im trying to piece a sportsman back together and it’s missing a few bolts. No Polaris dealer in the area and I can’t find the size of a bolt in my parts manual. Its for the radiator mount. Hopefully I can pick one up locally. does anyone know what size of bolt is used for Part # 7515399? Thanks
