STM seccondary clutch.

Hi all.

I have a question abot choose of springs and weight on a clutch setup.

I have a Can-Am outlander MAX 800R 2010mod.

Already installed there are a CV Tech primary. I`m considering to install a STM seccondary.

By a dealer I got a recomandation on installing a Gen 2 secondary, long post, 45 deg encapsulated helix, yellow spring and 1 shim.

My use of the ATV are driftng and speed driving on gravel roads, and drifting on ice with special tires. So my needs are topp speed, topp acceleration, and if possible no enginebrake.

The engine are not tuned, and tires are stock size. In this lokal racing we are not allowed to tune the engine, and must use stock tire size.

So my question to all of you is: What is the best setup!

I already got the primary, and are going to change seccondary.
If I use the recomended setup, what is the best choise for spring and weights on the primary?

I have tried to get to Airdam, but no response to either calls or a lot of emails, so that is not a option.

Sorry about the bad english, but as a Norwegian thats my best…..

Tnx for all help.

Trailblazer 250 flywheel locknut

I have an 01 Polaris Trailblazer 250. I am missing the locknut for the flywheel. I was told it was a 16×1.5. I picked one up from a hardware store and it doesnt fit. 16 is the right size but im not sure about the thread count. The 16×1.5 seems too coarse. Can anyone help me with the correct size

Lift tables for ATV

Hello,

I work in a garage. We usually service and repairs motorcycles. People around here owns many atvs, so upgrading our workshop to repair it would be an advantage. We are finding a lift table to station atv since what we use for motorcycles are small.

Has anyone bought a lift table for your atv, because we heard people having issues about the width and girth on the table. As now we found this scissor lift table but it is for heavy duty applications.

Oversize rings

Smoky Joe is getting the cylinder head honed a little due to some scoring. The machine shop figured about 0.25 mm oversized piston, which I think I’ve located, but I haven’t been able to locate rings to go along with it…

Smokey Joe is a ’94 200cc TRX D type II.

The stock cylinder ID is 65.000-65.010mm
The stock piston OD is 64.962-64.982mm

So I have checked the usual outlets–ebay, hondaparts, bike bandit, to no avail.

Anyone have any leads?

Will my 13′ dyno’d fuel map work on my 16′?

Hello all,

I had a 2013 Outlander 1000 XT, with a Power Commander V and Yoshimura slip-on. I had it dyno’d and a custom fuel map made.

I kept the Power Commander and Yoshimura, and put them on my 2016 Outlander XMR 1000R.

Will the same map work, without spending another $400 to have another map made?

If not – if anyone has the same machine and pipe, with a dyno tuned map, I’ll buy the map from you, to help offset a small chunk of the cost you paid.

Thank you.

Oil on spark plug

I have a 96 300 4×4 and it wasn’t firing when I first got it so I had the plug in and out while trying to find out what was wrong. There was no oil on the plug until i got it to fire. Now it’s soaked and not starting. It turns over and then tries to start then turns over then tries to start. You could set your watch by when it’s gonna try to start. It also backfires through the carb. So I checked and it’s in time. The chain tensioner is all the way extended so I know I need to put a new chain on. Question is would this cause my symptoms or could it be rings. Don’t understand why the plug only got oily when I got it firing.
