I sure hope someone can help me out here. I recently purchased my first atv. The 09 Big Bear IRS seems to be a great machine and I’ve already been enjoying it.

When I got it the speedometer/odometer wasn’t working and the reverse light blinks after I get it up to speed (if I just putt along it doesn’t come one), so I looked into it and found that this is a common problem. I checked the end that screws into the back of the speedometer and it was loose. I tried reconnecting it but it still didn’t work. At this point I figured it was the cable so I ordered a new cable and installed it but still no speedometer or odometer.

I’m not sure where to go from here. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should check next?
