ZBROZ Racing Shock Review for the 900 Trail

Background:
I purchased my RZR last August and overall have been very happy with the performance. I ride trails (mostly 50”) 90% of the time and usually have a passenger. After my first few rides, I noticed that ground clearance on the trail was an issue (my skid plate was seeing a lot of action). Like many of you, I started to crank up my pre-load to gain some clearance but then noticed a harsher ride and even some bucking from the rear.

After months of research, I decided I needed an upgrade. While researching suspension options, I was shocked to learn how much quality shocks sell for (no pun intended), but quickly realized what I could gain. After years and years of upgrades on various projects (ATVs, boats, jeeps, trucks, etc), I now subscribe to the “buy nice or buy twice” school of thought. I decided to take the plunge!

I looked at several different options (Elka, Fox Racing, Bandits, ZBROZ), and after speaking with several of these companies I decided to give ZBROZ racing my business. They are somewhat local (1.5 hours North) and took the time to discuss my riding style, goals and needs. I could also pick the shocks up in person to get a feel for their operation and customer service. After a few calls with Nate, I had my order dialed in and arranged a date for my visit. When I arrived, they had my shocks ready, covered a few additional options and proceeded with the install. After the install we loaded up the machine and went for a few test drives. Nate also took the time to measure ground clearance with my machine fully loaded. Again, ZBROZ provided outstanding customer service.

As far as the shocks were concerned, I opted to go with: Polaris RZR 900 50" Trail X0-IFP EXIT Shocks. After having the shocks for just about a month, I can say they have been an amazing improvement. I now have the ground clearance I need with the addition of a smooth and predictable ride. The ride is improvement is very noticeable, I always feel in control, and the shocks take any abuse I throw their way. As you will see in the photos below, I gained much needed ground clearance.

On a side, note I was super impressed with their facility. Nate gave me a brief tour and even highlighted the building where the shocks are manufactured. I love supporting a business that builds their products right here in the USA!
