XP850 – Battery Issue

So I am quite certain I am losing my mind. I have been having some issues with my quad this weekend. The battery seemed really low and I had to jump start to get the thing running. I am storing it high in the mountains where it is exposed to the cold and rain. It isn’t uncommon for a weak battery to show issues in these conditions. Anyways, It ran most of the day, but was still having issues. So I pulled the battery out and cleaned all of the connections. When I reinstalled the battery, I got nothing. Despite there being some charge in the battery, the quad was completely dead. No power at all to the quad.

I don’t think it is a connection issue, as I cleaned all of the connections very well. However, one thing has me troubled, so I need some clarification for my own sanity. The battery on my quad is under the seat (since I have the EPS). There are five connections to battery that run the quad and the winch. Two are clearly red and two are clearly black. The fifth one is the one I am questioning. It is a black wire, but has red electrical tape at the base of the connector. It comes out of the main wiring harness.

Does anyone know if that wire is a negative or a positive? Could this be my issue? I swear it was on the negative lead, but now I am second guessing myself. Can anyone help me out with this? Maybe a picture of your battery with all of the connections showing? I swear this issue is causing me to lose my mind.
