First off id like to say thanks to everyone in advance and im happy to be a member here. My atv is an 85 trx 250 fourtrax. I bought it not running and can not figure it out. I’m pretty mechanically inclined and my father has been a mechanic for 40 years and this thing has us stumped. At first it seemed like it wasn’t getting fuel so i bought a new carb. Still wouldn’t start. So i proceeded to check the timing which was good,and i bought a new coil and NGK spark plug just in case it was weak spark. The issue is it still wont start and the plug gets soaked every time! I also shut off the fuel and gave it a shot of starting fluid and nothing
