Windshield selection help

I have always owned rzr’ shut I just sold my rzr and I am going to be purchasing a 2016 polaris ranger crew cab so I can better use it for hunting but can also use it at atv parks.

I live in Houston Texas so when helping me select a windshield keep in mind the heat.

From October to December the ranger will be used 100% as a hunting rig. I will be driving the ranger down a sandy lease road for about a mile until I get to my stand…this is why I was thinking a windshield to help with those cold nights and mornings getting to and from the stand.

During the rest of the year I will probably be making 6-7 trips to atv parks and it will prob be much warmer and really I wouldn’t need a windshield for this. Most of my riding at atv parks is mud trail riding

Questions:
1) glass vs. hard poly vs. poly — what do you recommend and why
2) half windshield vs full windshield
3) do I need a rear panel? (I hear some complain about wind still coming in and I read some say a rear panel prevents wind from coming in…although I don’t follow how a rear panel would prevent that?)
4) should I get a high end glass tilt out windshield that’s like a thousand bucks but will give me the best of both worlds. Hot riding and cold riding.
5) will the crack with rocks being thrown or limbs hitting it
6) or should I buy a full hard coat poly (lock and ride) that’s cheaper and take it off when I’m not hunting?

Basically I’m trying to deciding whether to buy the nice glass tilt windshield or buy a cheaper full windshield and take it off when I’m not hunting.
For the price of the glass windshield I could even buy a full lock and ride and a half lock and ride and keep the full windshield on for hunting and the half windshield on during the rest of the year.
