Which Pioneer to buy 700 or 1000

I now have a ’96 Foreman 400 (lots of snow plowing) which I will keep forever, but I need something for trail riding and chores. I would like my wife to be comfortable using the new machine for her lighter chores, but I’ll be using it on our 8 acres for wood cutting etc. It would be helpful if it didn’t tear up the turf anymore than necessary.

My dilemma is to choose between the 700 and 1000. As I see it (without actual experience) is that the 700 is cheaper, easier to buy a trailer for, and probably more nimble. The 1000 on the other hand would be a more comfortable ride all around, and it would have more power for sure.

We are older, and having the fastest machine is not one of our goals, but a good trail ride could help me get my wife to participate on a lot more recreational trips. I would get EPS and a winch for sure – probably windshield and roof.

I will have to haul the UTV for recreational purposes, and I’m thing about getting an enclosed trailer to haul and store the machine. Any comments on this would also be appreciated. Picking a trailer seems to be nearly as complex as picking the UTV.

Any comments would be appreciated……… Thanks
