The other day I was driving my 2015 rancher DCT around the yard and drove through a small dry creek bed. I put it in fwd before climbing out the other side and when I came up out of the creek the front end started clunking and clicking like gears were not meshing. I stopped and took it out of 4wd and then pushed the lever forward and it didn’t make the sound anymore. Today, I wanted to see if I could recreate the problem so I put it in 4wd and it made the same sound. I took it out and then re engaged and it drove normal. I’ve only got a little over a hundred miles on it but it’s out of warranty by a few months so I want to make sure it’s not something I’m doing. I was at a complete stop when I engaged the lever. I haven’t taken it in for its 100 hour service or anything although I did change the oil and filter to rotella T6 which shouldn’t have any affect on the 4wd system. Any thoughts?
