Hi everyone! I was a "Honda Man" for 31 years. Sold my last one a couple years ago, 06 Rincon. I have been waiting for a big bore 4×4 from them with no avail. I did alot of research, asked a lot of questions, did some test driving, and decided on Can Am. I decided on a 2017 XT-P 1000R that I picked up last Saturday. I got to put some scratches on it the next day. I have not been able to rip on her yet but the power it has with the standard key is pretty equal to the Rincon. I really love the Fox shocks so far. I’m not going to mess with the suspension yet until I break her in and get a feel for how the quad handles. I put a alpine composite plow together and mounted it yesterday. That is a pretty nice system. Hopefully it holds up. The dealer said he hasn’t had any problems with them so far. My only grip is the CVT area makes some weird noises. I took it back to the dealer to let them listen to the whining and chirping sounds to see if its normal. They said yep, it will wear in…..OK. I looked at some you tube videos of Can Ams making the same sounds. Some of them were from 2012 so I guess I have to get used to it and hopefully it quiets down some. Other than that I am pretty impressed so far. It has a lot of grease zerks, easy air cleaner maintenance access, and looks to have good access to all the general maintenance areas. I have about 5 more hours of "standard key" and its go time!!
Well….After alot of waiting and research made the move to Can Am
