H.R. 1838

Representatives Sam Farr (D-CA), David Valadao (R-CA) and Jeff Denham (R-CA) sponsor H.R. 1838 which would designate 75,000 acres of Federal land in San Benito and Fresno Counties in California as the Clear Creek National Recreation Area (NRA) and would ensure access for the responsible use of off-highway vehicles (OHVs) in the area into the future as well as designate 21,000 acres as the Joaquin Rocks Wilderness (the area is currently being managed similarly to a designated wilderness area). For more information about H.R. 1838 visit Representative Farr’s site here.

H.R. 3668

H.R.3668, the California Minerals, Off-Road Recreation, and Conservation Act introduced by Representative Cook (R-CA) would, among other things, statutorily designate six important OHV areas in California – Spangler Hills, El Mirage, Stoddard Valley, Rasor, Dumont Dunes and Johnson Valley. In addition, the bill would expand El Mirage, Spangler Hills and Johnson Valley. For more information about H.R. 3668 visit Representative Cook’s site here.
