Hello again!! Nice to be back on my Hawkeye riding the roads. Just took my son down a hunting road with plenty of mud holes and he had a blast. Wasn’t sure how deep the holes were (first time on the road in those conditions) and some ended up being pretty deep…deeper than I thought. Engine bogged down pretty good, guess because the exhaust was in the water…just kept it floored. After one hole, it didn’t want to go too fast. I’m guess it was because water in the transmission. I got parked and looked at the drain hole where the plastic yellow bolt/plug was suppose to be at, and it was missing….AGAIN. Idled it up for a little bit, and dark/black water came out of the drain hole. I’m guessing it was just belt residue turning the water black. But got it back on blacktop and could open it up no problem.
Any tips for when doing this stuff maintenance wise? And does anyone just run it without the plastic plug in it?
