Warning sounds of rear differential failing??

2014 800 xt-p, bought new in July of ’14. I have 3400 miles on it, 95% fields and turnrows, the rest mud, water/hunting. I farm and use it to check crops.

Over the weekend if started a loping, very mild knocking noise from the rear differential, at the same speed of the driveshaft rotation. Earlier last week I put new U Joints, all went together well, in phase, all good. Quiet upon reassembly and probably put 50 mi on new joints

What yall think? I normally put 5K mi a year on my bike and 1,500 or so on my commander. This isn’t my first failure. Last summer I had a gearbox go out on a 500XT at 3800 mi, and 9 months old.

I am running 30" interforce for clearance, but it IS NOT used as a mud machine. I feel like breaking it open and looking before buying another diff. If gears are good and I can get another 6 months out of it with only bearing set, I may go that route.
