Trx450er won’t start! Please help

Recently got an ’08 trx450. When I bought it, it would barely try to turn over, but would start if I popped the clutch. Turns out it needed a decompression arm. Any way, fixed that and now it will try to turn over but still won’t start. A local shop told me that it sounded like the carb needed jetted. It has a big gun evo R slip on. So, I put a 130 main in it and a 45 pilot. Put it all back together and it still won’t start. It’ll crank and crank and crank, like it’s right on the verge on starting, but it just won’t. So a friend of mine looks at it and says he thinks it’s out of time, so I pop the top off, and find that it is indeed like 3 teeth off. So I turn it to TDC (based off of the T on the fly), make sure my cam lobes are facing up and back, and make sure my cam lines are level. Pop the chain back on, recheck it for good measure, put everything back together, and now it sounds like crap when it’s turning over and it still won’t start. I have no idea where to go from here?! Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!
Sorry that this is so long, but I wanted to be clear on everything that’s been going on with the quad.
