TRX300FW 1995 – Swing Arm Removal

Hey guys,

I’m in the middle of redoing my brake panel and rear diff of my TRX. While being there I figured why not change the bearings/seals from my swing arm.

I just ordered a 17mm allen bit with 1/2 drive but I’m still missing the pivot lock nut tool.

I’ve read that we can remove the swing arm using only the 17mm bit and a cheater bar? I’m still hesitant on this as it seems important to have the 40mm OD / 34mm ID 4-pin socket tool to get that nut off.

I found the socket on Amazon but it won’t ship to Canada … Also it was over 60$!! :icon_eek:

I tried looking at Canadian Tire’s inventory for a 40mm socket and try to create one of those tools on my own but I wouldn’t want to scrap the nut. Any ideas?
