I will be picking up a family members Recon to do a little troubleshooting tonight. They had some electrical problems with it last year: TRX 250 No Spark
All has been good since then till a couple weeks ago.
We had a big group riding @ Mines and Meadows in Beaver, PA. After an hour or so of riding, we took a water break. After the break, the recon rider went to start it up and there was NO power at all.
No headlights, no neutral light, nothing at all…anywhere.
The pull starter is broken so we weren’t able to try that.
My first inclination is to check to see a fuse is blown, then to see if the battery is charged. If those check out my next step is to check for power on the red wire going into the ignition switch and power on the blue wire coming out of the switch in the On position.
If anyone knows of a common failure that may have caused this, I’m all ears!
