Trip to the top of Canoe Mountain

Yesterday we made the trip from our campsite to the top of Canoe Mountain. The trail climbs about 6000ft (1850m) in 8 miles (13km). We had a mix of Grizzlies, Rhinos, RZR 800’s and Sportsmans. One RZR was overheating until we pulled the bad thermostat, one Rhino overheated because of a plugged rad and my rear rack rattled loose on the way down. No major problems though.

From the campsite, the Canoe River

Up we go

The clearing close to the highway just above centre in the photo is the rodeo grounds at our campground

At the top, 8570ft

Memorial to Daniel Cantin 1957-1985

Kinbasket Lake

Our group freezing at the top. It was only 5°. The guy in the t-shirt was regretting his choice of clothes.
