Transmission Signal Fault ????????

Ok I took my 2014 CanAm Outlander 1000 Max XTP out for a ride in the desert a month ago ,19 miles into the ride I got a transmission Fault Signal. I turned around and headed back to the house, halfway back I shut the machine off and let it sit for a few minutes, started it up again no TSF code back to normal. I continued on my way back to the house got home pulled all the side covers off and cleaned the plugs on the gearbox angle rotation sensor and the actuator everything was good.
Me being the mechanical genius I think am I pulled the gearbox angle rotation sensor out and cleaned it , being very careful as to how it was installed put it back in and my gear indications were all screwed up , when I was in reverse the indicator on the dash showed neutral, plus I was receiving the flashing signal across the dash Transmission Signal Fault. At this point in time I was lost so I took the machine to my local CanAm dealer left the machine for a couple days . :th_smiliepullhair:
When I went back for it they had replaced the Gearbox Rotation sensor and gave me the old one. I took the machine home unloaded it and did a 20 mile loop in the desert and no problems whatsoever, everything was good.
So after this ride I had to go to KC on business for 10 days came back from KC and went to go for a ride and the machine wouldn’t start , I assumed the battery had gone dead so put the charger on it came back out and started it and instantly got the Transmission Fault Signal along with the check engine light , plus the thing was in limp mode.
At this point I went through all the wiring cleaning process again to no avail, started to get very frustrated at this point so I thought what the hell I will put the old Gearbox Rotation Sensor in for shits and giggles. I put the old one in and everything worked great took the machine out for a 15 mile ride in 100 + heat and no problems . My question is why? I have lost confidence in this machine at this point is it going to leave me stranded in the desert over some chicken shit electrical problem?
I am glad the machine is working fine now but I want to know what caused these issues in order to avoid them or fix them. Any help or suggestions will be welcomed .
